Omg ev training gyarados

Just a stupid question:

How do you ev train an gyarados?
I mean after i hatched my adamant magikarp how do i do it?

give it an EXP share and go beat up on 252 pidgeys/rattatas (for the speed) and 252 paras (for the attack). once it evolves, it can get EXP faster by defeating the wild pokemon by itself.

I first give him 10 vitamins....... for each thing

so its like this:

Zapdos is going to beat up 152 zubats when magikarp holds exp share and already gained 10 Carbos??
Holy cow thats going to take a while....

EV training seems so hard i never heard of it until now and i dont even understand how it works t_t owell <_<
