Hey everyone! I'm Ranger Registeel. You may or may not know me from my currently on-hiatus fic Pokemon: Secret of the Sevii Islands. This is my first ever shipping fic. It's a Pokeshipping Halloween story. It will have about 10 chapters, 2 of which are already written. I plan to post a new chapter every few days and conclude it on Halloween. However, I need people to PM me to remind me to write EVERYDAY. It'll just help me out. Minor shippings are Contestshipping, Advanceshipping (GASP!), BreederShipping, Luckshipping(BrockXLucy?), and Revelationshipping. Others are so minor I can't put them xP

Chapter 1- A Conversation and an Invitation

Hot’n’Sassy: So I’m having a party here at the Battle Pike on October 31st and you guys are all invited
LoveBoulder: Of course I’ll be there my sweet and beautiful Lucy. Your hot passion will obviously make this party prevail over all others

May laughed. Two doors down the hall, she heard her brother laughing too. Brock was usually really funny online. Although, since Lucy didn’t reject him like most other girls did, it wasn’t as funny. Oh well. At least Brock could finally be happy, Yeah right, May thought.

“May, you have a phone call!” Caroline shouted from downstairs.

“Who is it?” May yelled back to her mother.

“Drew!” her mother replied.

May smiled and typed ‘brb’ before picking up the phone.


MistyEyedPrincess: Is there a theme to this party?
Hot’n’Sassy: Halloween of course!


Misty slapped her forehead. Lucy may be a powerful trainer, but her brains were definitely limited. Misty was reminded her of her sister Daisy. She had been training with her for a while now and had become a worthy opponent for most challengers. However, she was still as ditzy as ever.


Thunderbolt2000: I think she meant do the costumes have a specific theme
Hot’n’Sassy: No. You can wear anything from an underused Wurmple costume to a classic Dracula outfit


Misty sighed. There’s a reason Wurmple costumes are underused.

Everyone stared at their computer screens.

Brock’s eyes filled with hearts as he thought of the possibilities.

Max sighed and seemed indifferent.

May gasped in a happy surprise, half knowing what Drew had in mind.

Tracey frowned. He didn’t have many female friends.

Misty’s eyes lit up. She had already decided who she wanted as a date.

Ash felt an odd sensation slowly build up inside of him. He felt very strange and awkward. What’s going on? he thought.


Hot’n’Sassy: You don’t have to…..but I guess if you guys are then I’ll tell all my guests to…..
SketchingOranges: I object!
Hot’n’Sassy: You can find a date while you’re at the party if you have too.
SketchingOranges: Fine…..Who else did you invite?
Hot’n’Sassy: Well, the other frontier brains are invited. So are the Kanto and Johto gym leaders. I’ve also invited some people that you guys have met along the road…..
MistyEyedPrincess: Oh God, who?

Misty shook the computer screen and screamed. She and Ash had met some odd people during their travels.

Thunderbolt2000: Misty, it can’t be that bad
Hot’n’Sassy: I’ll tell you three
Hot’n’Sassy: Melody, Casey, and Sakura
Thunderbolt2000: NOT THEM!!!!!!!!!!! HOW COULD YOU? WHY DIDN’T YOU ASK US FIRST????????


Ash yelled angrily at the computer. Three people that had a crush on him would be at the same party. Asking him to dance. Following him.

Melody had liked him from the second they met. It took Casey and Sakura longer. As they had grown into their teenage years, both had gradually started to like him.

“ANABEL!” Ash screamed as he remembered she would also be there. Anabel was a Frontier Brain that Ash had lost to once before beating her. She had an enormous crush on him. He hadn’t found out about it till about two years ago when he received a large Valentine Card in the mail from her.

Misty opened a new IM window. Before typing anything, she looked at her small calendar beside her computer monitor. After seeing she was free tomorrow, she typed:


MistyEyedPrincess: hey Ash, you wanna check out the Safari Zone tomorrow? They just redesigned it
Thunderbolt2000: I wish I could Mist, but May just asked me to go to the Dewford Island beach with her tomorrow


Misty looked at the computer in angry shock. Furiously she typed


MistyEyedPrincess: Why would you wanna go so far away to see May when you could travel a few miles to see me?!?
Thunderbolt2000: Sorry Misty….how about later this week?
MistyEyedPrincess: I’m busy all this week
Thunderbolt2000: How about next week then? We can go on Tuesday
MistyEyedPrincess: Alright….see you then

Misty looked at the screen slightly annoyed. Her last smiley was sent right after he signed off. That’s not so bad I guess. At least he won’t find out how I feel about him…not yet at least.

Tomorrow he’ll be in for a big surprise, Misty thought sneakily.

It would be funny if Pikachu was chatting online with them. 8D Ash taught him how to type. (Ignore me, I'm just acting dumb right now.)

Got my attention, all right! Can't wait for chapter two! (Though I'm only allowed on Saturdays, so I might be able to reply at the ending of the story, maybe.)

How could you say Abilityshipping is minor?! It's the chief rival in hint-strength to Pokeshipping(IMO)! (Or at least it will be once the eps are dubbed.)

I never really saw Melody or Sakura as rivals for Ash's affection. The latter being quite young (though not out of range), and the former seeming to merely toy with Ash to get a rise out of Misty. (Not saying she shouldn't repeat her performance...)

*sees "Breedershipping" on the list* What's Lucy doing bringing down one of her chief rivals for Brock? (Granted, she may not know it until the party... It would be ironic if one dressed as an Officer Jenny, and the other as a Nurse Joy.)

And even more ironic if that Nurse Joy from the Pyramid area came down...

How coul I have forgot about Saori?! DrewXSaoriXBrock Triangle on top of All! Except that it's probably one-way from both men...

You may want to bring in Gary as well...

...as he comes to Pallet Town after Ash beats the Pyramid. Let's let loose with a little Egoshipping as well as GaryXMay...

And with Tracey as he is this chapter, a little Replacementshipping hit is necesary. Although you are free to bring Daisy down as well if you think Handymanshipping has half a shot. Still, TraceyXMelody would be a good enough help on its own...

And if you do decide to bring down Daisy and bring up Melody, you might as well let her sisters join her and bring up Rudy and his sister. The latter for Max's sake (Though he'd already be covered by Sakura) and the former... well... he may decide on an older Sensational Sister in the end...

And where's Duplica?!

Finally, I had an idea involving the Legend of Raikou kids... but I gave you enough already with Gary, Duplica, Rudy, and the Sisters... EDIT: Besides, When plumbing for humor, It's easy to forget that you emphisised Pokeshipping in the classification. So giving Ash a new girl-to-run-from, which comes with 2 Assassins of her own, would be overkill... And you would need to finish it for Halloween, after all. Except perhaps for Epilouges, which would still be good for All Souls' Day (2 days later...) Just need to get the Climax done for Halloween, really.

Chapter 2 - Jealousy at the Beach

Ash was on a boat going to Dewford Island. It was 11:30 AM. The warm sun cooked his bare forearms. A cool sea breeze blew from the north. Ash knew a beautiful day was waiting. He was think about having fun with his friends, May and Max. May hadn’t actually said Max would be there, but Ash thought it was safe to assume he would be.

Ash heard a splash and ran to the side of the boat. For a brief second, he thought he saw a shadow in the water. “Pikachupi!” Pikachu shrieked happily.

“What is it, buddy?” Ash asked the electric rat. Pikachu pointed to the water. The shadow was gone. Ash turned and walked back to where he was sitting. He forgot about the shadow as soon as a waitres came by and asked him what he wanted for brunch.

Pikachu kept a close eye on the water as Ash began to eat…

Misty swam up to the surface on the other side of the boat. Azurill followed. “Azurill, don’t use Splash! Ash might find us!” she whispered firmly. She looked at her water proof PokeGear for a map. She could tell they were almost to Dewford.

“Gyarados, let’s go!” she said throwing up a Pokeball. Her water serpent appeared. “Let’s Dive and get to Dewford fast!” She grabbed on to the fin on its head as it dove down. Azurill clung to her ponytail.

Gyarados swam down and found a current. It was moving fast. It moved into the current and started beating its tail fins to make them go even faster.

Misty held her breath with difficulty. She had gotten up extra early so she could beat Ash to the island and surprise him. Her tiredness made holding her breath much harder than usual.

Azurill seemed to pick up on this and used a Bubble attack. A large bubble surrounded Misty’s head. She breathed in relief.

Misty looked at her PokeGear map again. The current they were in looped around Dewford and then went to Slateport City. Misty then looked up and realized they had started the loop.

“Gyarados, go back up,” she said. The sound echoed in her bubble. Gyarados started to ascend.

As they reached the surface, Misty spotted the boat several miles away. She had enough time to “get ready” for Ash’s arrival.

Ash climbed off the ship. He walked down a long wooden pier. Pikachu was on his shoulder looking at the water. He raised his nose and sniffed the air looking for a trace of…

“Hey Pikachu! Look it’s May!” Ash yelled and began running toward the beach. Pikachu lost the brief scent. It jumped to the ground sniffed again before following Ash.

“Ash! Pikachu!” May shouted happily as she noticed them. Pikachu got to her first and knocked her over. Ash tripped as he got near and rolled across the sand and landed next to his two laughing friends.

“Ash, it’s so great to see you again!” May said cheerfully has she stood up and brushed the sand off her clothes.

“It’s great to see you too! Can we go swimming now?” Ash said.

“Someone’s in a rush today! The changing tents are over there,” she said pointing to a couple of red tents near the life guard stand.

“I’ll be right back,” Ash said as he ran off to the changing tents. Pikachu’s ears and nosr perked up at the same time. It darted after Ash.

“Misty, he’s coming right now!” the blue haired lifeguard said.

“Thanks Brawly!” she said as she ducked into the ditch she had dug behind the changing tents. She saw Ash run into the one closest to the lifeguard stand.

“Corphish, Dig into that tent!” she whispered to Ash’s orange crab Pokémon. It began to shovel out mounds of sand and soon there was a small tunnel that led right under the tent.

“Now, Crabhammer!” The crab used its claw to smash the sand directly under the tent. Ash fell through the floor. His hat landed on Misty’s head. She was happy to see his shirt was off.

“Hey Ash!” she said smiling broadly. Ash looked up at her in confusion. His look then changed to amazement, and then he laughed.

“I guess you really wanted to see me today, huh Misty?” he said as he laughed again.

“You know how persistent I am,” she said slyly. She winked at him and said, “Corphish was a big help.”

“Thanks so much Corphish,” Ash said sarcastically with a laugh.

“Ash is so hot without a shirt on,” Misty thought to herself. “Wait till he sees me in my bikini,” she thought spicily.

“Can I get change alone now?” Ash said pointing to the tunnel. “Otherwise we’ll never get to swim. That is why you followed me here, right?” Ash said raising an eyebrow.

“Of course,” Misty said as fast as possible. She turned and headed out the tunnel again. As she climbed out of the hole she smiled. Is Ash trying to flirt with me?

“Thanks Brawly,” she said once more as she passed her fellow Gym Leader. She took off the baggy white t-shirt and the blue shorts she was wearing to reveal a tiny yellow bikini. She stood in front of Ash’s tent waiting for him to come out.

A minute later he appeared wearing a dark navy bathing suit with a jungle green flower design on it. As he laid his eyes on Misty, his eyes widened and he opened his mouth to speak, but nothing came out.

Misty posed before turning around and running for the water. Ash was left speechless. Misty looks…hot.

He continued to stare at her running figure for another few seconds before following.

“Hey Ash!” a female voice yelled from the other side of the beach.

Ash turned around in confusion and saw May. He had forgotten about her.

“Ash, come on!” she shouted. Ash ran to the other side of the beach. “Shouldn’t we wait for Max before we start swimming?” Ash asked, hoping to distract May while he went to Misty.

“Max isn’t here. Now let’s go.” She said as she ran into the shallow water.

Ash was speechless. May had planned to see Ash all alone. Did she… like him? It hadn’t seemed like it last night on the computer. It had seemed like she liked Drew then. But… he didn’t feel the same about her. He was more attracted to…

“Ash!” two voices yelled, interrupting his thoughts. One came from Misty on the other side of the beach and the other came from May a few feet out into the water. He looked between both of them before going to the middle of the beach and jumping into the water there.

As Ash expected, both girls began swimming toward him. In seconds, both were next to him. They noticed each other and May gawked while Misty smirked.

“What is she doing here?!” May asked disgustedly.

“She followed me.”

“I can’t stay away from my Ashypoo,” Misty said jokingly.

May bit her tongue to stop the vicious insult she had and instead plastered on a fake smile and said “Let’s play Marco Polo.”

The three spent the whole day “having fun.” When Ash wasn’t looking, Misty and May glared at each other.

At the end of the day, as Ash and Misty were about to leave, May pulled Ash aside. “I had a great day. Even with the unexpected additions, I still enjoyed being with you. See you next Friday at the party,” she said sincerely. Then, noticing Misty was watching, she glared at her before kissing Ash on the cheek. The look of shock on Misty’s face almost caused her to burst out laughing.

Ash seemed surprised too, but not nearly as much. He replied with a simple “Bye” and walked to where Misty was waiting. She linked arms with him as she shot May one final glare. No one messes with me when it comes to Ash. Nobody.

Whoaaaaa..... my whole opinion of May has just changed. jk :p I can't wait for what you have in store later on in this story. This was definitely a good chapter as you could feel the tension between both of them. Good job and keep it up!

Nice story. ^.^

Nice beginning, but I'm starting to think this is going to turn into the same fics where "Haruka & Kasumi fight for Satoshi" :< One, I'm tired of seeing the same plot, two, I'M A CONTESTSHIPPER! XD //shot//

You should add some twisters to the story, not the same plot with two girls fighting over Satoshi and yadda yadda...

There were no grammer mistakes though.

...Now get Haruka to like Shuu or I'll kill you. XD Kidding, it's up to you to do whatever with the story.

Though Haruka seemed really happy when Shuu called her...//still has hope for some Contestshipping// *shot*

But nevertheless, great job on the story and I can't wait for more. ^.^
