After reading Toshihiro Ono's pokémon manga, I began to wonder if it could fit with the pokemon anime. Do you think Ono’s manga should/could be considered pokémon canon?

Clearly we're great!
It *is* canon. It's canon onto itself.

Red-Kun: The story is basically the same as the anime: a boy named Ash travels with his Pikachu and competes in the pokémon league. There are a few differences from the anime, such as Jesse and James marrying, Ash traveling with Richie and Gary, and no Tracey in the Orange Islands.

Blackjack Gabbiani: Hmm… I’m not sure what you mean. Do you think that Ono’s manga should be considered separate from the pokémon anime canon?

Yeah, the Ono manga is alot different from the anime in a lot of ways. One being that Pikachu was found inside Ash's house, and another is that Ash caught a Fearow while trying to fend off the flock of Spearow.

Not to play “devil’s advocate” or anything, but Ono’s manga has many things in common with the anime. Ash starts off on his journey with Pikachu, Ash meets up and travels with Brock and Misty, and he catches a Pidgeotto and a Caterpie. Also, Ash gets enough gym badges to enter into the pokémon league, he meets and is beaten by Richie, and afterwards travels to the Orange Islands with Misty. Does anyone agree that Ono’s manga should be considered part of the anime canon?

I read first 8 Chapters in Chinese and the Ono's adaptation in first movie.
I firstly thought that this manga is based on Pokemon Yellow not anime.
The manga story is the anime story with some changes. It is also mixed with some facts from games. Art is good. Pokemon look much more scary than in anime. And much more serious. The story is also not very sequentional. It is a good manga but not as good as Pokemon Special. Ah, and it is way better than Teshirogi's manga because it has more differences between manga and anime. Teshirogi's one is too much like the anime. I like Dengeki Pikachu but it's not my favourite manga.

from the moment i first touched ono's book i took it at as THE form for the story. i wish it had been more unedited in the US, but i just love his artwork and it has inspired me to keep up my own art.

The arc with the demon Haunter that went around using Dream Eater on people. That was awesome. Much cooler than the humorous Haunter, who wasn't humorous.
Same here, that was cool, especially where the Haunter's woken up.

Eh, not necessarily. Teshirogi's manga can vary quite a bit from then animated version, the most famous example being his adapatation of the Deoxys movie.
