Joe wanted a thread made, and I've made it.

OK, Dustox is now in the opening, and Manyula isn't. Chimecho is still there. Therefore, Chimecho still has hope and the popular lust for Jesse catching Manyula has been squashed.

Also, the scene with Mew and Rukario has been replaced with pictures for Mysterious Dungeon.

You'll notice that these alterations are similar to those made in the English opening, which removed both new pokemon. Could Nintendo have told both countries to remove undebuted new pokemon? The fact that they had a movie is irrelevent, apparantly.

Na thats not it, they're just advertising the latest thing...before it was the 8th movie...now its Mysterious Dungeon...when Ranger comes out chances are the dungon scenes will be replaced with Ranger pics

^ It's the opening, and yes, that scene of Haruka has always been in the Battle Frontier OP.

That is, unless you're talking about the sad scenes of Smile.

I'm just wondering why its taken them all this time to include Dustox in the opening and why Chimecho is still there. The rest of the opening is fine, but the way they're handling that particular scene seems rather sloppy if you ask me.

The Mysterious dungeon add-ins SO make me want to see a pokémon-only spin-off show or special episode.

I wonder why Dustox wasn't in the original opening to begin with. Did the animators just forget that Jessie had it and then figured that out after they made the opening that they forgot a TR Pokemon?

Anyway glad to see Chimecho still there. I guess that's evidence enough that it won't be forgotten.

Looks like 4kids has some new animation to use for their Season 9 opening with the Mysterious dungeon stuff.

So, I guess we can assume that this opening will last all the way till D/P comes out. We'll just have the same opening with updated scenes here and there, and the filled in Brains.

I want some Hoso episodes about Mysterious dungeon. Seems like a cool idea and a bit better than the other "Pikachu shorts" they've made.

I really wouldn't put it past them at this point. I mean, its only appeared like....once since the Frontier started. And it didn't appear much before that either.

I thought that the Mysterious Dungeon and that ranger game were the same thing :\... or are they completely different?...

They're two different games. ;)

There's basically Mysterious Dungeon, Pokemon Ranger, AND Pokemon Diamond/Pearl.

It's 3 different games overall. So far Mysterious Dungeon is in the anime via the opening, but I don't know if they'll actually make an episode or special about it.

Ranger gets to be in the anime by having the female Ranger show up for at least one episode.

D/P will obviously be the focus of the anime next region.

I do wonder if the Ranger theme will carry over to the D/P games though...maybe you play as Pokemon Rangers in that game too?

I don't think the ranger theme will be part of Diamond/Pearl... the big focus will be on the old (and damn good) RPG formula... which will reflect back into the anime.

Bonsly is still in the opening because May's Egg will hatch into a Bonsly!!! I hate the updated ranger & dungeon pics though, they don't go with the anime at all.

Four games, actually. Mysterious Dungeon is two games. >_> One for DS, the other for GBA.

Well, if you're going to get meticulous like that, it's a grand total of five games: MG Red, MG Blue, Ranger, Diamond, AND Pearl.
