Opera announce Web Browser for DS

That's right, a fully-fledged web browser for DS.

See a picture of the browser.

It'll come on a DS card, apparently. We have to make the assumption that there'll be no cache, but probably things like cookies, bookmarks and a history all saved to an SRAM chip of sorts.

Set for a Japanese release in July.

I would think it would be free, as long as you pay for the update. Although I might be wrong, I can't see them charging money for connection.

I believe this was already announced for DS and PSP a while back. Other messengers, like AOL, GAIM and YIM are included too.

But one question, How much will it cost to go online?

Since it's an Opera/Nintendo join-up, it'll most likely use the Nintendo WFC and therefore be free.

Since you need a network to connect to, I believe it will cost, unless you are able to use someone elses network ^^; But like you said, the card will hopefully not cost too much (it will cost something that's for sure).

But other than that, it looks nice.

Well, obviously you'll pay your normal ISP charge.

But what I meant was that there will probably be no extra charge for using the web browser.

Sorry to burst your pessemistic bubble, but Nintendo has already confirmed it to be a cartridge, priced at $32, and will be available for both the DS and the DS Lite.

By the way, do any of you realize that there is already a thread on this topic in the main Nintendo Forum?

Nice, but no point for us USB connectors lol. Infact, I don't real point to it at all, everyone who has Wi-Fi has a PC. Until I can use Wi-Fi in more places then I will remain to think this. *Has no hotspots to go to*

Not always a person next door could have a open wi-fi router and you could use it.Or if you go to a hot spot but you dont have any <.<
