Orange Islands

I just randomly remembered this from the TV series but does anyone else think that the Orange Island Leage was kind of unneeded?

The Orange Islands episodes rocked. Sure they didn't need them, but they were still cool.

I think the Orange Islands were cool. The Gym episodes were very entertaining to watch too. I think one reason to have it was to fill in the gaps between Kanto and Jhoto.

You are probably right but also didnt the orange islands have gym leaders? And just out curiosity does anyone remember there names?

I remember one of them, with some test that you had too shoot flying dishes, and had to race back to shore and if Ash won hed get a gym badge...

I liked the Orange Islands, but I agree that they served little purpose. I think the series could cope just as efficiently without Tracey. It's not as though he ever contributes anything critical to the plot lines.

idk i certainly enjoyed the orange islands episodes much more than i enjoyed the kanto ones, i mean after thats where pokemon started to become a little more grown up, there were variations on the battle formula for the 1st time

i think the islands opened up the door for dounle battles a little bit and i sure wish they were included in the games but owell

Yes,just like the Battle frontier is currently happening now. A filer for the Shinno Saga.

I dont know about that, Brock added alot to Ash's pokemon jorney and Tracy just kind of drew in his note book.

I think the Orange Islands were amazing. I wouldn't take them out. Lol, Drake was amazing.
