i just took my name and my favorite # and sandwhiched them

I was trying to find a new XBL gamertag and my step bro was like, "Use a misspelled word that sounds badass."
So I came up with
Fotofinish and Phailsafe and Phailsafe sounded wayyy better.

Changed my name from MJC CartoGuy to the name of an important character in my unfinished fanfic Pokiman, Rex Kamex, a Blastoise. (The Japanese name of Blastoise is "Kamex.")

I made my user name after the release of "Lucario" & the movie based on it in 2006. I liked the story of the movie alot & also liked Lucario and then i found that pic which i use for my avatar & the name popped in my head.
I haven't changes my avatar pic since then as it has similarities with my username.

I had to make a new profile at another site, this name came to mind, and I've used it ever since.

It wasn't until much later I discovered that there had been made a musical involving the name.

My name came from Hercule Poirot and Arthur Hastings. Alliteration, check. Nice-sounding, check. I was a big Agatha Christie fan back then.

Now, my name's stuck. I use it for forums, MSN and pretty much everywhere else. Hercule Hastings is like my second name. I actually answer to HH IRL.

Well, I love the pokemon Arceus obviously, and the "Corroded" part came from the fact that rust and corrosion has been around me alot lately.
