I'm not sure if this thread has been done before, but could someone please tell me what happened to the two trainers that started their journey with Gary and Ash

I actually wanted to do a fic about one of them, but I don't know anything about them

If I recall correctly, the only thing we know about them is that both of them defeated Samurai, but neither of them made it to the Pokemon league. Obviously, the only other thing we know is that, at some point in time, they have owned either a Charmander or a Bulbasaur.

Sorry I couldn't be more helpful, but, the writers never really gave us any idea as to what happened to them.

theres really no point in posting just to say what he said or just say basically the same thing as the person who posted before.

as for those 2 trainers, the writers just kinda gave up on them. i don't know much about them except the obvious (they started with charmander and bulbasaur) but this kind of stuff you may find something in teh manga or something. if you want to write a fanfiction, it might be a fun challenge to just go with their 2 starters and making up everything else.

That doesn't make sense. One of them had a Kamex, and we know that Shigeru started with Zenigame.

Um, no they weren't. The Bulba & Char guys just gave up cuase they sucked. He know what happened to the Johto kids (The Legend Of Thunder). Hoenn was May, possibly Brandon(he would have been a good character), the mudkip kid is unknown. The Shinou ones are obvious.

Oak mentions that both of them gave up, about half way through the indigo league. Presumably this was to show how tough being a Pokemon trainer and going on a journey really was. That's not to say they gave up Pokemon all together, but they just simply stopped travelling and collecting Pokemon and badges.

On a side note: Brendan did briefly appear...weilding a Shiftry and another Pokemon in the Pokemon league being aired on TV in the show.

There's no evidence for that. So it's just as likely that it was someone completely different. [In fact, I doubt Oak would ever give a Pokemon to such a trainer, so, it's probably less likely.] Please don't post your opinions as if they were facts.

It couldn't have been. Keep in mind that Daisuke had upwards of 30 different Pokémon in his possession - not only would such a feat have been impossible for a starting trainer at that point in his journey, but any trainer that officially registers with Ookido-hakase can only carry six Pokémon at a time.

You mean that girl whose skirt Pikachu briefly runs beneath in the Kanto-era opening sequence? That's just a generic Lass character from the video games. The original Japanese line of the theme song that was sung at that point (keep in mind that the entire opening sequence was shuffled and re-edited in America to accomodate the new music) was Satoshi describing how Pokémon can be found anywhere, "even under a girl's skirt" (and there's even a feminine "KYAA!!" on the soundtrack just as Pikachu emerges).

It's risque, but so is a lot of other stuff in the first season.

The Mudkip kid IS Brandon. There's a 9th movie scene with him with a Swmapert. It only makes sense...
