I enjoy this show. Has anyone seen it and if so what are your oppinions?

um.. yeah!

OLS is probably one my most favored series yet. Entertaining, funny, and an all around good show.

I like the main storyline about the Galactic Leyline, but the characters on the show are what made it worth watching. If only I could meet a real Ctarl Ctarl, that would rock.

The anime was great but I really want to read the 21 volume manga. It has some crazy sex scenes too apparently. Also there is a spinoff prequeal to the series called Future-Retro Hero Story.

Ah yes, Outlaw Star, the big secret of a 12 year old anime fan. My parents were blunt with me, so nothing mentally scarring took place, except when they caught me watching it at midnight, ehehe.

I have to admit that it was one of the anime I really enjoyed. Though seriously, I knew I had to be breaking some unwritten rule by being twelve/thirteen when I watched it. Pity UK Toonami stopped showing all the awesome late night anime. I miss that show.

Though it had it's (cough) moments, the romantic plot was good, I loved the final episode, the Outlaw Star itself is a ship design I liked, and the characters were funny. I really liked the episode where that [spoil]ultimate warrior guy who Gene beat dug himself out of his own grave complaining they buried him too deep[/spoil].

Seriously though, the hot springs episode...umm I have no comment...ehehe, the guy following Gene was funny though, and the fact Gene got hit by almost every trap was hilarious.

Oh heck yes, I love this series... They had plans to continue it with a second series, featuring the son of the evil doctor guy and a second Melfina who was dark/evil (or something along those lines)

Anywho, I have the entire series on a DVD box set, it happens to be one of my favorite animes.

Also, my favorite fan made couple of all time is in this anime as well...

Ay, tis a good series it is. Not exactly complicated, nor does it have that much depth, but the characters are certainly interesting enough. Felt like it rushed to the ending which left the plot a disappointment, though (which is why, like TSC, I want to read the manga series). Despite that, an entertaining series that also had an excellent dub (one of the best early dubs that I can recall).

The soundtrack for the series is amazing, just to note. Made the series a helluva lot better for me.

heh, I'll support that. Of all the people aisha really did get along with Jim the best. The only one that could beat her to him was the one pirate and the pink version that he colored of the ship XD!

Anyway, I've seen both th dubbed and the full subbed series (I own the boxset) and I must say the subbed is very good. They took out Gene's perverted additude and that one episode (which is my favorite in the series by far) where they go to the Hot Springs planet XD. That episode was so funny XD!

Leaving that episode also left out [SPOIL]How Gene got those special caster shells[/SPOIL].

I have to agree with you there... The end did seem a ltitle rushed... and with the soundtrack (at least the opening theme "Through the Night") was very catchy...
