Liko, Dot, Roy & Friede have returned to Paldea to request permission to enter Area Zero on the search for Lucius' Entei. They have to go see the Top Champion, Geeta to get permission. She agrees on the condition that they defeat her in a battle. So, Liko, Dot & Roy prepare for a battle with one of the strongest trainers in Paldea. Will they manage to gain the permission to go into the mysterious Area Zero?

Not a bad way for Liko to start 2025 off going from countless losses to a big win. I was actually going into this expecting her plus Roy and Dot to lose against someone like Geeta so this did surprise me quite a bit.

What a great way for Liko to get her first big win. Liko has had the capability to do something like this and assisted by Roy/Dot has managed to get her big moment without discrediting her friends

Like if this series is in the same continuity as the past series, no wonder Paldea never made it to the Masters Eight lol, aside from obvious real life reasons.

Geeta was so weak even before she lost, compare the impact of any other Champion before in the series. I can see even Korrina just absolutely wrecking her atp

Now we just need the series to end with the next Masters 8 Tournament, where Liko rises the ranks and knocks out Ash's Lucario and Pikachu

Lucario v Garchomp was fine considering Sirfetch'd took a massive chunk out of it and Ash strategised using Reversal. Yes Cynthia had some dumb writing but it was still an excellent battle.

Here, again, even less complaints, Crocalor hit it in the weak spot, Liko and Dot wore Glimmora down forcing plenty of shields and Liko took Glimmora out with an overgrow-boosted terestralised Magical Leaf which was enough to overpower Tera Blast. Don't forget the Sucker Punch too which must have hurt.

Excellent battle. No outsourcing too I believe?

Liko having Floragato attack Crocalor to power up Crocalor's Stomping Tantrum and double its power was a brilliant move, I have to say. I'd never expect Liko to attack her own teammates during battle, but it's such a genius writing decision, both to showcase Liko's quick thinking and to enable them to deal greater damage. So good.

I will say I liked how well Liko Dot and Roy strategised and worked well. Liko pulled off smart moves, but Im sorry its incredibly jarring that Geeta lost. Would have been better if it was enough to make Geeta approve of their strength and allow them in

Anyway, just never do my girl Nemona dirtly like that. Stay strong Lance, you're no longer on the fraud champion list

Joy. I can’t wait for people to act like this is a legitimate showing of Greta’s strength or act like the children are now Champion-tier even though this clearly wasn’t meant to be like that.

Until Liko or any of them defeats Geeta in a proper 6v6, don’t bother trying to convince me otherwise.

Anyway, good battle. Nice strategies, including from Roy. Glad to see Ryme’s lesson stuck.

this just goes her entire character of "not being able to hold back when it comes to Pokemon battles" so I feel it is unlikely.
Like sure a 6v6 is a different beast but a 3v3 fair battle is still a legitimate battle. The Champion bit I'm memeing sure coz its not like they cleared the Pokemon League so they aren't official Champions.....but the fact is that Liko's Floragato who couldnt beat a single Paldean Gym Leader beat the ace of the Top Champion in a fair battle.......so like how is it false to say Floragato is stronger than her Glimmora?

Na she is just stupid, this is the same "Im utterly incapable of holding back" girl who used Glimmora for the end and Kingambit in the starting

Wait, so Crocalor and Quaxwell did not faint? It is not clear by the serebii images but if they didn’t rip Geeta no wonder she was not in the Masters 8.
