"Overhyped" things in Pokémon.

Type advantages/disadvantages in the anime.

People discuss it like that is the only thing a trainer need to consider to win a battle, completely ignoring anime is not the game, it doesn't calculate the battle result based on systematical mechanics and numerical digital figures.

And people still discuss battles inside anime like that even by now.

I remember there being a lot of excitement and hype over the idea of horde trainer battles when the first few images for ORAS were being released. In the end all we got was five Grunts sending out one Poochyena each, all at 20 levels lower than the other pokemon you fought in that area. One Surf, Earthquake or Discharge and its usually over.

Gen 6 in general...

Gen 6 ended up suckung for me, because of dissapointing gym leaders, easy gameplay and dissapointing evil team...

I mean to be fair when has this ever not been true? At least the easy gameplay part, that's always been true.

Gym Leaders and evil organizations have always been rather debatable in terms of how good or bad they were though. Except Gen 2 Rocket, they barely exist (which I mean yeah that's kinda the point but still).

In recent months though, I'm finding Explorers of Sky to be a bit overhyped. It's no doubt one of the best DS games out there but I've seen a lot of comments referencing it as if it's some golden standard. Like this game had its fair share of flaws too, Aegis Cave being one of them.
