Lugia. Battling aside. People claim that it looks good when all it is is a generic white birddragon with hands for wings, random blue things tacked onto it, a generic blue belly added in almost as if someone realized that Lugia was too monochrome and decided to lazily add some color to it, and feet that should NOT be able to support its body. The only part of the thing that's even remotely good-looking is its head.

Dragonite, too. So many people can like a stuffed animal that ruined the evo line of sleek blue/white serpentine dragons simply because said stuffed animal looks like a traditional dragon. >_<


I refrain from traditional responces because they're so overdone that I see them more than I see n00bs worshipping said Pokemon as if they were gods. Srsly.

Blaziken! Its WAY too overated. Poor charizard, whats wrong with him, he's hated.... And Most Underated would have to be murkrow. But thats not a question.

Kingdra. Piss poor stats for a Dragon type, and yet people still use it. Maybe not as much as any Dragon type not named Altaria, but still enough for it to become overrated.

Hardly. A lot of people may openly hate Charizard with a passion, but in the long run they are completely out-numbered by it's endless army of adoring fans. You can't even turn a corner without bumping into one of it's soldiers.

Pretty much every single Dragon or dragon-like pokémon is overated. There are a few exceptions of course, those being the pokémon that don't really look like Dragons anyway (ie. Vibrava, Shelgon & Altaria), but the rest are are fawned over like Bambi on cute pills. It doesn't matter if it's western, shenlong or loch ness, people will love 'em. But it's hardly surprising considering any Draconic creatures as a whole are overated anyway.

Blaziken, Aerodactyl, Lapras, and LUGIA overrated? O___o; I'm afraid I have to disagree. ._.

Bellyzard isn't really all that bad tbh.

I would have to agree with ≈*Virulent Tsunami*≈ except for the part about Pidgeot being overrated. I hardly see anyone ever praising the thing. It's a cool Pokemon, but its crappiness is common knowledge.

Umbreon is also good on NetBattle, but it sucks ingame.

Everyone hates Kingdra and Shuckle..... I have no idea how such unpopular and underrated Pokemon can be called overrated.
Donphan is overrated. Nearly all it's weaknesses are common special weaknesses, yet it sacrifices the Special Defence to withstand any special attacks in favour of reduntant Physical Defence. It may look amazing and have sexcellent physical attack to back up STABBed Earthquake, but then again, so do Piloswine and Rhydon.
Overall, though, the golden award for most overrated goes to a certain elephatisic crack-addicted grasshopper. *CoughcoughScythercoughcough*

I disagree with just about everything said in this thread so far

Imo, Aerodactyl is underrated.
Imo, Scyther is also a tad underrated (simply because it can evolve. If it could not evolve, more people would like it).
Deoxys is not overrated imo(unless you mean Deoxys-E).
Lapras has a small fanbase. I think it is underrated for such high stats (although they are not arranged that well).
Lugia is more underrated imo.
Donphan is underrated imo since Claydol takes all the limelight (as it avoids spikes).

Bad Moveset (Unless you like sitting just watching the enemy die, sometimes you in the process)
Wierd stat layout for Best Move set
It's an Uber that has to be found via special Methods, so thats makes it elusive and in the process totally overates it.
