Earlier today Alcatraz sent me a link to another forum where they seem to be doing something similar. Click here if you're interested. What it looks like they're doing is taking nominations in the same fashion we did and going through the list alphabetically while having people vote for what they think should be in the final list. The only problem I see with this system is that it is based on votes and they ask everyone to not be biased. A simple yes or no doesn't show if the voter is being biased or not. I think discussion is key if we want to get this done properly.

Do you want a limit on the the number of entries per series again? I say if the limit is in place either there should be a set number or can be dependant upon the number of enteries.

I like this idea, or both of them. Figuring out what are the definitive titles in each series early will make creating the list easier later down the road.

Yeah, the voting fit pretty close with that theory. Which also brings me to why I disagree with this:

I believe Wind Waker, Majora's Mask and Ocarina of Time all deserve to be in the top 100.

I put my list with the same numbers in everyone else but I put it in "getting better" order rather than "getting worse" order. If you want, I will gladly fix your list myself and re-adjust my games' points.

That said, it seems like I'm going to be busier for the next several days than I thought I'd be [I most likely have a new job yay] so I might not be able to get around to the list fixing as soon as I thought. If anyone wants to take a crack at it they're welcome to of course.

1. Which series should we start with? Because I agree with the idea.

2&3. We will have to disagree but votes will decide for us. The thing is, OOT and MM are pretty much back to back N64 games with the only difference is that MM had a ton of sidequests, IMO at least. As for WW, I guess thats up to the individual.

4. Sorry I didn't see it, I'm skipping over a lot of the games somehow. But I swear I used ctrl + f to see if TP was on the list. I guess I misspelled it or something.

I guess we could start with Zelda since that has the most in the top 10.

I think all three of those 3D Zelda games are worthy of the list. Ocarina of Time innovated the series and was a huge step forward when it brought it in 3D. Majora's Mask was a drastic change from the series even with the similar N64 visuals it's tone and atmosphere were incredible. Wind Waker is what I believe to be the closest to perfection the series has had. The bold new cel-shaded art style is timeless and the entire game was bursting with creativity just as the series was starting to get repetitive.

A Link to the Past also deserves a spot for being the best 2D Zelda.

I may be able to do it, but you know my current circumstances, so if you don't think my circumstances will be an issue, I guess I can do it, just tell me what you want me to do.

I say we should have a discussion for the games to determine their placement and legitimacy for that placement. Do you want it to be a certian length and cover aspects of the game (art, gameplay, etc...) and hopefully include the pro's and con's of the game?
