Palkia Moveset

[Ho-oh Master]

I am needing help with a Palkia moveset and EV's as I am not good at it >> I am useing him in double battles with Kyogre. I am needing his EV's so I can EV train him and get him out of the way.

His IV's Are:

HP: 17
Attack: 15
Defense: 30
Sp.atk: 29
Sp.def: 23
Speed: 30

I liked him so I kept him.

Timid Nature (Thats his nature so I can't change it)
EV's: I don't know, I need help

Spacial Rend
Aura Sphere
Ice Beam
Thunder/bolt

I like that set alot but I'm not good at this, Here are some other useable moves: Dragon Claw, Aqua Tail, Focus Punch, Substitute, Draco Meteor.

Works well with prediction and does not let blissey stall you.

There was a whole thread about Palkia's moveset in ingame rate my team but here we go again. The best moveset for Palkia, no questions asked, is:

Palkia@Lustrous Orb/Choice Specs
Modest with 252 evs in sp. atk, 252 evs in speed, 4 in HP
Draco Meteor/Spacial Rend
Surf
Thunder
Aqua Tail

Simple. Draco Meteor just simply does a hell lot of damage to almost anything no called Metagross or any other resistant steel type. Surf is obvious. Kyogre needs to be dealt with so you have Thunder and Aqua Tail is an instrument which is more effective than Focus Punch. You see it is much harder to pull off Focus Punch than Aqua Tail, requires much more prediction, while with Lustrous Orb you'll have a 2HKO on Blissey most of the time, if Kyogre appeared once and its raining, then the 2HKO is guaranteed.

Blissey will simply love that moveset, even more with a Timid Nature. Well, thinking more wisely, Ice Beam isn't really a need, you can hit Groudon and Latios hard with Spacial Rend.

hits everything, Dragon + Ground is a cool combination, and Thunder can hit Steels that can Fly (coughskarmcough).

Focus punch is still a need imo to hit special walls.

Because you had to tell me then that this was for double battles. I assumed this was for singles in which Surf is very efficient. And the idea of my set is that as most people will think that Blissey gets a picnic with Palkia it'll be surprised by Aqua Tail, and instead of being able to stop Focus Punch with an attack, (as Focus Punch only 2HKOs and thefore the real trouble comes when delivering the second blow) she'll get demolished by Palkia. Also what is the point of Earth Power and having no water move on this poke, when Surf gets a good boost by the Lustrous Orb. If you want more reference of the set I propose, search through the threads at smogon and you'll see.

I would try Earth Power if you're going for a Bolt-Beamer set. It hits Magnezone HARD. Spacial rend is a must, and I recommend Surf.

Try Thunder, for Kyogre (and if you've got a Kyogre on your team).

The last move is up for debate. Go for Aqua Tail, if you have troubles with Blissey, or if you want Sub-punching (Get rid of Thunder) is another good option.
