Chaotic Pink
Let the zephyr blow.
Heres a preview of a non-pokemon fic I'm going to write once I've got up to chapter 5 in my other fiction.
Title:Papillion's trust
Type:Animal/Equestion non Pokemon fiction.
Rating:Nothing unsuitable so for anyone to read
Predicted length: Not too long, maybe 10 chapters.
Extract from Chapter One (start of):
They brought the great beast out of the trailer, its eyes rolled so that the whites could be seen it shook its head so that its curled, pure white mane shook. Two tired looking women led it out of the lime green trailer, heading towards the water logged field across from number 17.
Amelia saw all of this from her bedroom window. That thing could stamp on me and it wouldn't even notice! She thought to herself. Jumping down from the window sill, she walked out of her rather untidy bedroom, down the cluttered stairs and into the kitchen with at this point in time smelt of roast beef and vegetables. She quickly pulled on her battered in nike trainers and hurriedly burbled to her mum:
"Bye mum, be back later." She glanced over her shoulder, half expecting her mother to come in and gladly permit it.
"Amelia, get back here! Its raining and you haven't cleaned that bedroom of yours." A tall woman appeared in the doorway, she glared at the girl and placed a hand (complete with long, fake nails) on her hip.
Amelia glared back, "Whatever mum. Laters." Then turning her back she ran out of the house before she could be stopped again.
"Should have known." Her mum laughed, she walked back into the sitting room.
*
She crossed the busy road, not bothering to look either way. Her jeans, already frayed at the edges, became splatered in mud, the pale blue colour quickly turning to grey. The rain poured down like a murderous waterfall, yet Amelia didn't mind. She slowed to a paced walk, she began nervously running her hands, through her fair blonde hair. If her mother could see her she'd be screaming not to make her hair greasy. She walked up to the gate and valted over it without hesitation. Gymnastics practice has finally payed off. She thought to herself smiling.
Noticing the horse not far away she coed to it to come.
"Here girl!" She clucked her tongue as she gently said it.
A grey horse came into view, it stopped its eyes rolling once more. Confidently walking up to it, the girl stopped a metre away.
"Come on gal," she whispered, "I won't hurt you." She turned her back.
The horse trotted up to her and butted her head into the lowest part of the 13 year olds back.
"Hey!" As she said this Amelia turned, and placed one hand over the horses blue headcollar.
The 18 hands height horse reared up its front legs, it turned its black pits for eyes so that the whites showed again. Amelia placed a tender hand on its kneck. Papillion calmed down. Placing a hand on the grey Arabian's white star between its eyes, she ran her other hand all the way down Papillion's kneck. He had worked up a sweat in the trailer, the beast had obviously had a bumpy ride.
"Good girl." She coed to the horse.
She then turned and walked away as the snow began to fall softly to the ground...
Thats just an extract, not the full chapter. Heres the basic plot.
Papillion is a stunning grey mare, an Arabian dressage horse. But, abbused and broken spirited it looks like the mare will never accept another rider let alone a child. Amelia comes along, 13 with a fiery attitude, doesn't know a thing about horses, yet much to everyones amusement wins the trust of Papillion. Soon she begins to learn how to ride. Together they must triumph to persuade everyone that they are the perfect rider and horse combination. Otherwise Papillion might just go to the slaughter house.
The fic would switch betwine Amelia and Papillion, all the time staying in 3rd (changed my mind, not writing it in 1st person anymore.)
Characters:
Papillion: Stunning grey, Arabian dressage horse. 11 years old.
Amelia: Fiery tempered 13 year old, doesn't know the 1st thing about horses. Wins Papillion's trust.
Vicky: Amelia's riding instructor, a pessimististic woman who doesn't believe that Amelia could care for the mare.
If you can see any faults don't be afraid to point them out,
Pinky.
