ok just to let you guys know that iv'e done this and this is just for people who didn't know.
First of all just to you all know Ditto can be paralyzed (trust me, i got like 2 boxes of ditto just by paralyzing them and capturing them with a pokeball and i have like 15 metal powders from capturing them), here's how it goes:
1)simply go into route 14,15, or 13 or some other places where u can find it
2) go into battle with a pokemon that knows a paralyzing attack or ability(spore or static)
3)use the paralyzing attack on Ditto and it will have no effect
4)let it transform then use the paralyzing attack on it and it will paralyze it
This really works, and its also easy but remember this can happen to you too if ur training a Ditto, well i really hoped i helped, cya

-dont forget misty! ;175;

What exactly is the point of telling us this...

Hush, keep it down
Metal Powder is a rare item found only held by wild Dittos. It doubles Ditto's defense when held.

Speaking of which, does Transform in fact copy the target's ability as well? I had thought the Ditto would keep Limber after Transforming, but this thread makes me doubt that now.....

nope

it copies everything about the other guy except for the hp stat and any in battle stat changes/statuses

if you think about it, this is a way to get a wonder guard poke with more than one HP.

...Except there's no chance of that happening, unless it's a double battle. Though it does open up some possibilities with Mew.

Wait, transform copies all stats except hp? Weird, I never knew that...
