    Just a notice, we recently discovered that someone got into a moderator account and started hard deleting a load of key and legacy threads...around 150 threads have been lost dating back to 2007 and some weeks ago so we can't roll the forums back.
    Luckily no personal data could be accessed by this moderator, and we've altered the permissions so hard deleting isn't possible in the future
    Sorry for any inconvenience with this and sorry for any lost posts.
  • Hi all. We had a couple of reports of people's signatures getting edited etc. in a bad way. You can rest assured this wasn't done by staff and nobody has compromised any of our databases.

    However, remember to keep your passwords secure. If you use similar passwords to elsewhere which has been accessed, people and even bots may be able to access your account.

    We always recommend using unique passwords, and two-factor authentication if you are able. Make sure you're as secure as possible

I'm still supporting SatoHika as of now. I see no reason not to, even if Amour becomes the decision. I do like what I see from there, but not enough for me to be influenced by it for now.

For me, I like that Dawn/Hikari has a strong personality of her own that's not exactly tied to what Ash/Satoshi is doing. And that means that they as individuals just naturally synch and work well with each other.

Yeah, Amourshipping is cute, but I still like Pearlshipping better.

Why you ship Pearl?
Why not really ? Dawn and Ash just seem right together, they are so similar and push each other to the limits while supporting each other too.
Like Lyra said in the dubbed version of my country, they are soulmates, really they are in the perfect relation without even knowing what it is or how to be in one.

OFC! No reason why not too actually. I will still ship pearl and for my it's Ash true pairing.

Their chemistry is just so good, as well as all the hints they have.

But if SatoXSere happens, I'd be ok with it. Bc that means that ShadowXHikari has an even better chance of happening.;)

I will always ship Pearl. I could never bring myself to ship anything that opposes it, which means that I refuse to believe that SatoSere will go canon. The hardcore pearlshipper inside me even finds it painful to type "SatoSere". I think, as it stands, Pearl still has a chance. My brother's jumped to Amour, but I won't.

Why you ship Pearl ?

Because Dawn and Ash are just so good together. In every possible way. They were probably the closest, and their hints were equally spread both ways, unlike Poke and Amour, which are both lopsided, since in both cases most of the hints come from the female. And, I mean, which other pairing has their own official song? (And I'm not counting songs from 4kids)

Of course I will! I like SatoSere but pearl was still the very first shipping I ever got into. As far as it stands though its fair game for either of those two too become cannon more than all the other Ash ships.
Why you ship Pearl ?
For a lot of reasons. Mainly becuase of the cute relationship of Ash and Dawn as well as all the similarities they share.

Humm Dawn was a princess in the Salvia episode but Ash wasn't, he only was in the Lucario movie I think. Unless you count his Wallace cup costume.

Nah, even though Lucario is a Gen 4 pokemon, in its movie Mew and the Tree of Life May and her brother Max were with Ash. Not Dawn, that was the only time he dressed up as a prince.

There's Dawn in the princess style in the one featuring Salvia and Togekiss. There's Ash in his Indiana Jones style from the Wallace Cup, as already mentioned. Plus, there's the episode where both trainers dressed differently for a stylist show. Another one of my personal favorites.

What does Dawn/Ash remember when they see a Pikachu/Piplup?

Hmm. See if I can answer it more elaborately. If it's something random, they'll probably overlook it. But if it's granted a full story (or part of it) regarding the issues it has, then maybe we'll see them recollecting their days together.

I honestly think they think of each other. DA was TERRIBLE but i did show us Ash can remember the past a notion killed by BW when we saw Corphish and Buizel and Ash was like meh (wait that was N lol) anyway In Cilan's special him and Brock got interested in the owner of the Pikachu until they saw it was a girlkachu. so if they rise up at the sight of a pikachu I am sure the girls do as well. Ash hasn't seen a piplup family memeber since Dawn left so I have no idea but I would like him to remember her like that.

I follow the same answer. Decolara was like a trip in memory lane for Ash.
I just saw this topic has 1M views lol, then again if you searh pearlshipping on google this is one of the first results.

It all started on the movie The Rise of Darkrai, The Part where they are in Danger and got to grab each other hands if the one who made me start learning about "shipping" and I got so interested in this pair because of their interactions how they compliment each other and even need each others help/advice and support *Cough* High Touch *Cough* Increase it by a thousand mile

Hi guys, I've just had an idea.
You know High Touch? I have the hypothesis that it cannot exist in conjunction with another ship going cannon. It gives Pearl a significant leverage. Imagine this. If SatoSere goes canon, which it won't, and High Touch exists; compare this with a real relationship. You're in a relationship with someone whilst you have a song with another girl. It would almost be like Ash is cheating on one with the other. As long as High Touch is not forgotten by the majority of fans, the possibility of another ship going canon is very slim. Amour would have to beat Pearl by the writers releasing a song centred on SatoSere. This would not go down well with the fans, because it would just be seen as High Touch v.2. The two would always be compared. That's why I still believe in Pearl. Any other ship cannot go cannon in conjunction with Pearl's own song High Touch.

What do you guys think? Does High Touch give Pearlshipping a significant advantage?

It certanly gives. It was the first ship to receive like an "honorable mention" for the hype it had, so the high touch was kinda to show their "hidden" relationship.
Some may clame this is Platonic love, but honestly Ash and Dawn are true love ^^

What will Ash and Dawn get each other for x-mas ? lawl

Cannot find another two words that can so easily describe Dawn and Ash relationship!
I talked about that ( Of Ash coming up short in Unova ) Being implied as a subtle hint that he achieved so good in Sinnoh because of Dawn. ( And, well, having a proper rival )

I never understood why Dawn was so embaressed in that scene.
But yeah it should be hint that the biggest Ash ever got in League was wih Dawn supporting him!

PS: ugh it hurts me that when Ash hears Dawn catchphrase doesn't remember her (Clemont said it today)
