didn't the Cell saga (when Vegeta/Bulma became a pairing... though I'd use the term loosely, as there was about no interaction between the two previously, and even with a kid, their relationship was pretty sketchy for a good while) start around the same time as Tenchi Muyo!? Therefor, by calling Vegeta/Bulma old, you're in essence calling Tenchi Muyo! old (the fact that you make age-based comments after referencing both shows doesn't help us believe you were solely referring to DBZ, neither).
