I have a question about Perish Song. If you use Protect or something similar just on the turn where your pokemon would normally faint, will your pokemon still faint or will the Perish Song be blocked?

I don't know.

I'd check, but i don't have any pokemon that know protect and Perish Song.

Back I guess??
It´ll faint, perish song acts like sandstorm, in the end of the turn even if your pokémon used protect, it is affected.
Nothing can block perish song (excluding soundproof and switch).

Yeah, that's because since Perish Song is an effect, and Protect only protects the incoming attack from the enemy Pokemon on that turn, it will still be defeated by the Perish Song.

The one and only.
But don't forget if you switch it won't faint. Keep it out for those 3 turns and watch out!

So hypothetically if I use Lapras' perish song and then on the third turn switch to say...Ninetales, none of my pokemon will be affected but the enemy will? (I'm deciding whether to keep Perish Song on my Lapras.)

If the enemy switches, obviously they won't be hurt either. Providing they don't and you do, however, consider yourself one Pokemon up.

I did it!!
The in game people switch EVERY time you use Perish Song so I would suggest only putting Perish Song on a pokemon with Mean Look too.

I would think a better strategy would be to pack a seperate PKMN with Mean Look (or possibly Shadow Tag ability) and switch that one in once Perish Song is used.

Ow! Ow! Harder! Ow!
The best pokemon would be Misdreavous, because it can use Perish song and MEan look, but only if you're willing to sacrifice the Misdreavus.

Mean look only stays in effect as long as the user is out on the field. But I don't know about Spider web. Is it the same thing?

Get your Lapras to learn Whirlpool and you've got yourself a pokemon-fainting machine! >=)

Why sacrifice? if you switch in the turn that it would die, the opponent can´t switch and opponent will faint in the end of the turn.

Just remembered, if you use baton pass before you die (like 2 swords dance in a ninjask, misdereavus uses perish song, then ninjask uses baton pass) the Perish count will continue on the next Pokémon, don´t matter if it´s an Exploud too.
