Persona: Fallen Paradise

*Jean Grey*

Night Triumphant
Human Sign-Up:

Name: Jannike "Janna" Mortensen

Age: 18 1/2 (Turns 19 later in the year, birthday is November 11, 1993.)

Gender: Female

Arcana: Death

Appearance: A tall young woman of Nordic heritage, Jannike stands at an imposing 6 feet, with long, hip-length light blonde hair and a pale complexion. Her eyes are a steely blue-gray, like a winter sky, framed with long lashes which are often darkened by black mascara, as she feels that her pale lashes do her no good in the looks department. Her right nostril is pierced with a silver hoop, her right ear has two piercings and her left ear has three piercings. She usually ties her long hair into a ponytail, her long, sideswept bangs sometimes covering her left eye. She usually wears dark eyeshadow. Her body is slim and lean, with long legs and big, amply-sized breasts that are often displayed in her outfits. She often wears black nail polish on her fingernails and on her lower back is a tattoo of a small black skull, easily seen as she often wears crop tops. Her teeth are slightly yellowed from her occasional smoking habit.

Jannike does not dress in a conventional way typical of a small town and often gets poked fun at because of this. It is easy to see that she is one to order online. For her, clothes she often sees around bores her and pastels disgust her. As such, she wears a lot of black, and does not mind showing skin. Her usual outfit consists of a tight, black leather button-up corset with silver cross-shaped buttons that comes to the bottom of her ribcage, exposing her stomach, a pleated black-and-red checkered mini skirt and black knee-high motorcycle boots with silver studs. Around her neck is a studded black choker, black leather fingerless gloves cover her hands and black studs decorate each of her ear piercings. As Jannike is old enough to drive, she rides her own motorcycle, a gift from her father on her eighteenth birthday. When doing so, she puts on a black leather biker jacket with a diagonal zip and silver spikes decorating the right shoulder.

Personality: Jannike may at first impression come off as slightly hostile. With her tendency to use crude language, her roughness and generally casual attitude about almost everything in life, she acts rather tomboyish compared to most girls, which can possibly be a turn-off to most guys. She is extraverted, rather loud for a girl, and quite the flirt, not only towards guys but also towards some girls, though she isn't very serious about the latter, which is why she could rub others the wrong way at times. Admitting that she is in love however, is difficult for her to spit out. The easiest way to find out? her constant denial. Jannike hardly thinks before she speaks and can be brash and very dismissive towards those who annoy her a lot (Especially the one kind of guy that turns her off: The Large Ham. She would never flirt with one for her own reasons.), despite her being reasonably nice to others most of the time. Though she almost always speaks her mind and does what she wants, she is however, mostly an even-tempered person who doesn't lose her standards of composure, well most of it...unless she's drunk. That's a different story.

One may think that Jannike was always this way, but she wasn't. When her mother died in childbirth along with her supposed-to-be younger brother when she was twelve, she was exactly the opposite. Jannike was once a troubled, withdrawn and even anti-social girl who refused to forget what had happened and allowed the event to affect whatever she did, even her judgment. She used to be lonely and only when she and her father moved to America did she stop dwelling on the past. The past used to affect Jannike all the time, and it took some time and the help of her father for her to get over it and move forward without guilt. Now, Jannike is not one who dwells on the past, but rather someone who looks forward at her own future without fear and lets life run its course, being who she wants to be and no longer allowing her ghosts to hold her back and take over her, though she could sometimes be a bit pessimistic about certain things, especially when it involves the lives of those she cares for.

Sometimes however, Jannike's past fears surface and sometimes trouble her to varying degrees, not when it involves herself, but when it involves those she cares about. Yes, despite her looks, she is an open, warm-hearted and accepting young woman who doesn't judge others and likes making friends. One just has to look past her image and see the good in her, and not judge her. While she can be rough and crude, she is also caring, protective and compassionate, looking out for her friends as much as she could. As she hardly dwells any longer, she is one who easily forgives and forgets, not being the type to bear grudges.

Jannike, being of legal age, drinks often, despite others' misgivings. This has the unfortunate side-effect of turning her into an "angry, violent drunk", which makes her difficult to deal with. Contrary to her crass, rough but friendly nature, this Jannike can be a bit scary and hilarious at the same time, depending on your point of view, and often has to be restrained. One must be careful not to bring up any alcoholic drink or show any alcoholic drink to her.

Jannike has an extremely dark taste when it comes to just about anything, including clothes, make-up, and even her taste in music preferring darkness, black and the macabre. As such, she refuses to own anything pink, yellow or anything she deems "diabetic". If you happen to be one of her unfortunate friends who enjoys wearing pink or pastels, expect her to persuade you into a makeover...a very drastic one.

As for Large Hams, it's not that she hates them, but she finds it more difficult to put up with them because they could be annoying. While she can definitely make friends with them with few problems, the males are definitely a turn-off to her in terms of the dating and flirting department. Large Ham guys are probably the only kinds of guys she doesn't hit on, especially if they're already insufferably "righteous". If the matter is friends only, she's perfectly fine, if a bit more irritable and blunt, but still generally nice, but she won't consider dating one.

History: Jannike Mortensen was born in Oslo and was raised there for the first thirteen years of her life. Life was good for the young girl at that time. Her cosmetic surgeon parents were wealthy, she lived comfortably and generally, life was easy enough for her. As a child, she had a bit of a naughty, troublesome streak, playing with her male schoolmates more often than with the girls, and often getting in trouble with her teachers. Her grades weren't the best, and she wasn't exactly the studious type, but she survived school pretty well and for her parents, that was all that mattered. For most of that time however, she was an only child and was rather lonely because of that. She wanted company besides her friends and her parents, and thus, told her mother that she would like a sibling. She was eleven at that time. Soon after, her mother announced that she was pregnant. This excited the young girl, who looked forward to playing with her new younger sibling, who was revealed to be a boy later on. The first seven months passed pretty quickly for Freya Mortensen without much problems. However, during the eighth month, her health took a turn for the worse. She weakened rapidly, her morning sickness got worse and she complained of pains and dizziness. Jannike and her father tried to help her the best they could, but it never seemed to get any better.

Already sick before giving birth, Freya died during labor due to excessive blood loss. This hit Jannike hard. She was twelve years old and lost her mother. There was however, still hope in her mind. She was going to have a little brother after all. She was wrong about that. After a while, she and her father were informed that the boy was a stillborn. This tore Jannike up almost entirely. In her mind, she knew that it was her idea, her urging that caused all this to happen. She was only twelve, and she was responsible for her mother's and brother's deaths. At the back of her young mind, she was a murderer. Ever since then, she started becoming withdrawn, moody and refused to talk to her friends, or almost anyone for the matter. The events of that night kept replaying in her mind, and she just couldn't get over her guilt. She ate very little, had no heart to study and just kept to herself. Stein Mortensen tried to help his daughter, with little change resulting. Jannike was haunted by what she felt was her mistake, despite her father trying to tell her otherwise, that it was not her fault at all.

A year passed and there was still very little change. Stein began to grow worried for his thirteen-year-old daughter. Something had to be done, and it had to be done quickly. After a few months, he made up his mind. Norway wasn't good for Jannike any longer and it wasn't doing him any good either. Maybe it was time for a change of environment for the both of them, he thought. A month later, they moved to America, where Stein decided to take his practice. They settled in Misty Springs soon afterwards, where Jannike had to repeat seventh grade as she wasn't able to complete it back in Oslo. At first, Jannike still seemed troubled and tormented. However, Stein did his best with the time he was able to spend with her. He told her that America was not Norway, and Norway was already the past. Jannike at first did not understand. However, spending more time in Misty Springs, listening to her father and walking through the rooms of her new home slowly but surely changed her. It was not apparent at first, but it was happening. Being the new girl at school, a number of people flocked to her, in an effort to make friends with her. Make friends with the girl who was a murderer. Like hands reaching out to her, they were warm and accepting, despite her initial misgivings. They only saw her as Jannike, just as her father always did. Little by little, Jannike started to smile again, laugh again, make friends again, while pushing aside her guilt and problems. Day by day, she was a little happier, and the pain she once felt hurt less and less. Her father was right. America was a new life, a happy new life for her. Though he had to leave for days and even weeks on end and had to entrust her in the care of a housekeeper, he made the effort to come home as much as he could. After a year and a half, during the latter part of eighth grade, Jannike had definitely changed.

Now just ending her year junior in high school, she's trying to improve her grades a bit ...and perhaps try not to get caught doing anything stupid if she could...while of course still doing her own stupid things, as she hopes to graduate and enter a good fashion design school without too much black on her record.

Weapon: Jannike's weapon in Avalon is a dark metal scythe as tall as she is. The handle is long, sleek and dark, and the scythe's dark arc blade is large and slightly sinister-looking, the sharp lower edge of the mostly black blade being a very deep shade of violet. Decorating the top of the handle and just beside the blade is a black skull, and a few chains, making it look like the scythe was probably used for ritualistic purposes.

Other: Try to keep her away from too much alcohol. You wouldn't want the potential Team Mom to be even more dysfunctional. She also has a questionable taste in music...just don't get freaked out if you hear. Also, she has a pet dog named "Lupus" (No, not the disease!). Yup, she's a dog person. XD

Persona

Name: Sköll and Hati

Source: Twin wolf sons of the wolf Fenrir and a giantess from Norse mythology. These two are destined to devour the Sun and the Moon when Ragnarok, the end of the world, comes.

Appearance: Sköll and Hati are twin wolves the size of an average Arctic Wolf, about three feet tall from head to toe. In terms of color, the two are very different, however. Sköll is a deep sunset-red wolf with glowing gold eyes. His fangs and claws are gold in color and compared to Hati, he is slightly heavier in build, with thicker fur, giving the impression of strength and sturdiness. When he opens his mouth, one can see that he holds in it a bright, golden orb, a miniature sun. Hati on the other hand is a dark violet wolf with silver eyes, as well as fangs and claws. The latter two are slightly less sharp than Sköll's. Hati's build is also sleeker and his fur is silkier than his twin's, making him look slightly more swift and lithe. Just as Sköll bears a miniature sun inside his mouth, Hati holds within his a slightly dimmer but still glowing silver orb, a miniature moon. Despite their size, they are both fearsome attackers and are definitely powerful in their own right.

Powers: These twin wolves are two entities sharing the same life force, though they use their power differently. Sköll is a powerful physical attacker, using his brute strength and force in battle, his usual technique involving charging, biting and clawing, the second of which is usually the most effective, if rather hard to execute its effects compared to the other two which are direct attacks. His bites have the ability to paralyze and immobilize a foe for a certain period of time. The longer and harder the bite, the more powerful the effect. Hati on the other hand is a powerful user of Dark magic. He uses darkness and shadows in attacking and is capable of stealing a foe's life force through some of his skills. While not as physically strong or sturdy as his twin, he attacks much more quickly and is a little more evasive. The two of them specialize in one-on-one offensive skills, and do not learn multi-target skills. Both wolves are capable of debilitating their foes and weakening them almost as well as they attack.

However, these two share the same life force, so if one is unable to battle, so would the other. Aside from that, they usually cannot attack the same target until much later on, unless of course there is only one target to begin with, which allows them to do so at the cost of the attacks becoming more taxing on Jannike. As they are twins, they cannot stray very far from each other, only about 5 meters at most.

All done! XD Hopefully, I get in. XD This Persona probably gives a nice, smooth progression for a possible evolution (Fenrir).

Edit: Decided to create an avatar that looks as much like her as possible, so it's easier to visualize her:

Her corset is actually cropped above her stomach, only reaching the bottom of her ribcage, but they didn't have any of them on Gaia, this was the closest I could get. XD

DVB: Reservation Accepted. It will expire on the 14th.

Jean Grey: Excellent sign-up. Jannike is Accepted.

EDIT: I've received this question from two different people so I thought I should probably explain it here. Even if your Persona is a particularly famous legendary figure and therefore would probably be on Avalon, you can still have that Persona. The beings who sleep on Avalon (King Arthur, other legendary heroes etc) exist separately from Personae. It's like having two copies of the same file on two different computers, and updating one but not the other. They have the same origin but different content and aren't connected to one another. So yeah, if you wanted to have King Arthur as a Persona, you could. Same deal with, say, Achilles or any other big mythical heroes who'd likely be on Avalon.

Hope this is good enough. I can change it if there are problems.

Name: Diego Vendrix
Age: 18
Gender: Male
Arcana: The Magician

Appearance: Diego stood at five foot, 9 inches, light olive skin and stout. He has low cheekbones, a boyish face, no facial hair, and wears a pair of glasses that darken themselves in bright sunlight. His hair is black with subtle patches of very dark brown, mainly in the tips. His hair is kept trimmed and neat, however the ends on the back of his head are messy and spiky. He has slightly bigger than average eyes, which are chocolate brown. His eyes are large enough that they are noticeably larger than average, even by a margin amount. Diego is of Mexican origins. He also has braces on his teeth.

Diego alternates between casual clothing and a suit. His casual clothing consists of a black T-shirt with a gold yingyang symbol on front and a white silhouette of Quetzalcoatl, portrayed as an Ouroboros with the crescent moon and sun in the center of the loop on the back. He has on some black cargo pants with a good amount of pockets to carry stuff in if he needs to. He completes this with special socks and black-colored moccasins, in order to walk easier ad feel the earth. He also will wear an Eisenhower styled jacket with chest pockets to keep stuff in.

Personality: Diego is a warm and passionate person with an occasion fiery temper and a burning streak for the pursuit for adventure and truth. He is very empathetic and has a great desire to help people out. Beneath this outgoing personality, Diego is a shy and quiet person. He is also a very artistic individual as he will often draw whenever he gets the chance to do so. He is very loyal, but can come on as clingy, especially around girls. He also likes to cook. When in serious situations, he knows it is time for him to use his intelligence and strengths at their full capacity. He is very creative and known to be devious for his ideas. He is regarded as being very smart in many aspects.

He has his faults, however. Some of these are being blunt, sarcastic, picking fights, laziness and often day-dreaming during certain moments and saying a weird comment afterward. He may also show some malevolent intent or hold grudges for a while. He may even show cruel moments, characterized by a crazed grins and shadows under his eyes. He is prone to snarky or blunt comments and is often unable to figure out what to do in situations with people so will often mess things up, though he means no harm. Despite this or because of it, he tries to overcome these traits so people don’t judge him on his faults and see him as a good person.

History: He lived in the state of Georgia for a majority of his life with his family consisting of his father, mother and younger brother. He often has debated with his father, but has seen as one of his biggest inspirations in his life. He has a strong relationship with his mom, though he being a nerd and otaku confuses her often. He has a complex relationship with his brother. They argue a lot and often though see eye to eye. Although they look similar, they are nearly opposites in personality, with his brother having charisma, charm and good strength on him. However, his slothfulness is in school, resulting in debates with their dad. His favorite activity is being in the drumline of their old school.

His memories in elementary are not well remembered, besides some bad events and a few good events. This trend grew worse in middle school where he was in the deepest of his misery in middle school. He had fallen in love only to be heartbroken 2 years later. His relationship with girls was not a happy one. Despite these troubles with his peers, he had formed a decent bond with them in high school. However, he still felt in heart a solitude he feared will never end.

Near the holidays, his brother’s attitude, stubbornness and nonchalance about school finally reached peak with their father. After a good deal of arguing, his brother left home, only to come back because their mom. However, after a good deal of thinking, he decided to join a military school. This was at suggestion of a military teacher who was surveying students at the time. The expenses would be paid minimally over time and Diego’s brother would remain there until he graduated before moving onto the computing wing of the military

With his younger brother’s future now set up, his parents decided to move. They moved to Mist Valley. His father found about the town when he was invited to a wedding and learned the bride was from the town. Diego grew comfortable in the small town and enjoyed the new start. However, he was still the shy new kid and so he still is trying to make friends and such.

Weapon: Claymore- The handle is dark gray and comfortable to hold steadily and stable. The blade is silver with the edges of the blade gold. The claymore blade also has ornate gold runes on the blade for arcane purposes. The guard is a bit ornate and the weapon comes with a scabbard that Diego wears.

Other: Diego’s true strength will come out when he finds his special someone.

Persona Sign-Up:
Name: Merlin
Source: Arthurian legend

Appearance: Merlin resembles mostly human. He is of a tall height, a lanky but tough build and somewhat pale skin. His incubus blood gives a rather strange charm, giving a handsome look. He appears in a plain indigo robe with gold stars and moons on them. He has jet black hair, however it has a faded look, representing his vast age and experience. His face is tall and narrow with one eye being gold and other silver. He has a vertical scar running down his gold eye and he has a long, full bead, reaching up to his chest. The beard is black, but fades to gray with tips on white at the end. This fading is also for his hair, which is kept under his sorcerer’s cap, though the fading is seen from the back. Also, he has pointed ears and ram-like horns that are hidden by his hair, but grow to show themselves when using his magic, a symbol of his cambion heritage. He also has many runes of azure tattooed on his body, seen when his robe off, revealing a vest made of what appears to be dragonhide and chainmail pants with sandals.

Powers: First and foremost, Merlin can shapeshift to any existing animal, however, the amount of time he can remain in that form is inversely related to the size of the animal, the smallest animal being an insect and the largest a quetzalcoatlus. However, his more powerful abilities stem from his magical abilities. He can use powerful offensive spells and a few spells to heal people. The spells have a fire nature to them in some form.

SoulMuse

Shadow of nothing
24 after the thread is up, here we are.

Human Sign-Up:
Name: Ian Blackwood
Age: 19
Gender: Male
Arcana: Devil

Appearance: Ian is tall, standing roughly 6’3”, with an athletic yet slim build. His face is sharp and angled, with piercing green eyes, and pale skin. His hair is brown, almost black, and cut short on all sides. Ian’s clothing is always in shades of black or grey, not matter the season, temperature, or what the rest of the world is wearing. On a typical day, Ian will wear a long-sleeved tee shirt, either black or grey, jeans, always black and combat boots, also in black. The greatest majority of the time, Ian also wears a hooded jacket, typically colored black. To his closest friends, Ian not wearing a jacket is seen as a sign of the apocalypse. The final piece of clothing that Ian wears is a pair of black gloves, with silver flames stitched on the back.

Personality: It is hard to nail down a definite description of Ian’s personality. On one hand, he seems like a normal guy, if a little bit off in the head. On the other hand, he is a cold and self serving. He can be merciful and compassionate, and turn around and turn in a mother for stealing food to feed her starving children. Very much a man of opposites, Ian personality is rooted in his upbring.

Regardless of his confounding outward actions, Ian is an opportunist. He does what benefits him the most at that moment, and as soon as something is no longer beneficial it is removed for something that is. These choices are often spur of the moment, and somewhat impulsive. If given the chance, Ian also is rather manipulative, taking advantage of any weakness presented by others to get something for him. By contrast, Ian does have a conscience, which spends most of its time ruthlessly suppressed, and can be compassionate; however, as Ian only feels the need to be nice to his friends, of which he has exactly one, or people he wants something from, it can be hard to find this side of him..

When not amongst people he needs to be on good terms with, Ian is cold, and talks very little. When pressed he often has curt words, or biting sarcasm for a response. Despite that, Ian enjoys reading, and has a wide array of trivial knowledge.

History: Ian’s was born into a rather unpleasant family. His father was a soldier, but received a dishonorable discharge, for taking advantage of several of his comrades. Ian’s mother died not long after he was born from “falling down the stairs at home”. In light of this incident, Ian’s father decided that they needed to move somewhere else, and from the time Ian was three until he turned nine, Ian was moved around the country constantly. During this time, Ian’s father managed to impart his opportunistic ways into his son, and they stuck. There was no love lost between father and son, especially after Ian turned ten, when it became obvious to Ian that his father was a total scum bag.

Ian stayed with his father until he was seventeen, at which point he promptly moved out of their current house, to Misty Springs to live with his grandfather. He got a job working in a local café, despite the fact that he had plenty of money saved up. When his grandfather died, Ian was left the house and a substantial amount of money. He didn’t really do much with the money, besides get two pets, a Black Mamba snake, and a black English Lop rabbit that had red eyes.

It took Ian the better part of two months to get the two animal’s to get along, but after some effort he managed to get the two to coexist peaceably enough. Ian began to look for somewhere to attend college,

Weapon: Ian’s weapon of choice is an oversized handgun, designed to be fired with two hands, shaped like a demonic head. The jaws are opened and the tongue is shaped into the barrel. The grip of the weapon seems to be made of a scaly material, and is rough to the touch. In appreance the weapon resembles a flintlock pistol.
Other: Not yet, more potentially coming.

Persona Sign-Up:
Name: Astaroth
Source: Astaroth is a considered to be a demon prince according to demonology. He is believed to be the male version of a female goddess of a similar name(Astarte) from the second century B.C. He is mentioned in the Lesser Key of Solomon as a powerful demon.

Appearance: Astaroth is humanoid in appearance, standing roughly six and a half feet tall, with tanned skin, eyes that seem to smolder with the fires of hell, and a muscular build. A pair of black feathered wings sprouts from his shoulder blades, extending roughly a twenty feet from tip to tip at full extension. In his right hand, Astaroth hold a snake of some kind. A crown of burnished gold, adorns his head.

Powers: Astaroth uses darkness to both fight and cloak his actions. He prefers to avoid close quarters engagements, chossing instead to destroy his opponents with flames or darkness from a distance. To this end he also uses a variety of shadowy illusions to confound, tempt and disorient foes, before striking them down. If needed, Astaroth can also create serpents of either flame or shadows, to fight for him.

Knight of RPGs
SoulMuse: Hm. That's generally fine. The only point I'm -really- iffy on is the gun, but I suppose guns do exist in Avalon just in a rare form because of time of myths and all that. It's a case that heroes are celebrated for their feats, like David killing Goliath and Saint George slaying the dragon. With guns, such deeds become less about the person's strength and heroism and more about the weapon, which kind of steals the mystique. In any case, I'm fine with it, just be careful with how you balance it out. Try not to overshadow the rest of us too much. Also could probably use more normal ammo, since bullets made of hellfire... yeah. Aside from that, I'm fine and Ian is Accepted.

Everyone watching, this is not an invitation to have everyone use guns :p. I would like to maintain guns as being rare, if only to keep some drama intact.

Not a problem. I edited the apperance of the gun, and took out the hellfire part. Would it be okay if I have Ian have some skill in hand to hand combat so that he doesn't use the gun?

Knight of RPGs
I'm fine with the gun. Ideally it should have some kind of handicap, just to maintain some balance when the rest of us are using swords and scythes, but as a weapon it's fine. It's just, like, in Persona 3 and 4 they only had one gun user in each party, both of whom had a particular reason to use a gun. I'd ideally like to keep the number of guns down for that reason, as well as Avalon's mystique. So yeah, Ian can keep the gun. I just don't want too many guns among the party because guns mix things up in an uncomfortable way.

Monster Guy

Fairy type Trainer
Human

Name: Leonardo "Leo" Silverstone
Gender: Male
Age: 17 (Turns 18 on July 23)
Arcana: The Sun

Appearance: Leo stands at exactly six feet tall. He works out regularly, and while he does not have bodybuilder proportions, he is physically fit, and he has a toned athletic build. He was raised in a tropical environment, he goes outdoors a lot, and he wears sun protection, so his skin is lightly tanned. Not bronze, but not pale white either. He has short, close-cropped, black hair, with messy bangs that go to his eyebrows. One strand of hair on top of his head always stands up no matter how much he tries to comb it down. His face is round, and rather boyish, marked by large, expressive, electric blue eyes. These features give him a youthful appearance. Except for the top of his head and eyebrows, the rest of his upper body is void of any hair. (No chest hair, no armpit hair, and he's unable to grow any facial hair.)

For clothing, Leo usually just wears whatever he pulls out of closet, and is appropriate. He can often be found without a shirt. He used to be rather scrawny when he was younger, so now that he's put on a little muscle, he likes showing off the results. He would be able to get away with going out in public like this a lot more often back in his hometown, not so much in Misty Springs. When he does wear a shirt, it is usually a form fitting tank top. The one he wears the most often is red with a zipper going down the front. The rest of his outfit consists of a pair of blue jeans, held up by a black belt with a stainless steel buckle, and a pair of red and black sneakers on his feet. The sneakers have wheels in the hole that pop in and out when Leo puts weight on his heels, allowing them to function like roller skates. He also wears a pair of aviator goggles on top of his head. He rarely uses these goggles for anything, and he wears them because he thinks they look cool. He carries his things in a simple red backpack.

Personality: Leo is a bright and cheerful person, with an optimistic view on life. He can often be seen with a smile on his face, even when things look bleak. He believes there is some good in everyone, and for that, he is very trusting of others. A genuine nice guy, he is always willing to help someone in need, often putting the needs of others before his own. Sometimes though, he can be too nice, to the point of gullibility, and he is often taken advantage of because of it. Leo is outgoing and social, he likes meeting new people and making new friends. He is not afraid to strike up a conversation with someone new. He is loyal, empathetic, and protective of those he cares about, making him a good friend to have.

He is very energetic, so much so that it is very difficult for him to sit still and focus on one thing for long periods of time. Although, he can think quick on his feet during intense situations, he is impulsive, and he has a habit of jumping into things without thinking. Due to his cheerful nature, it is very difficult to anger him. However, when pushed too far, then he can be quite dangerous. That said, Leo is very quick to forgive those who have wronged him, and he isn't one to hold grudges. He has an affinity for things he considers "cute", and he is not ashamed of the fact at all.

History: Leo was born and raised in Miami Florida, the oldest of three siblings, and the only male among the three. His parents' relationship became strained after his father, Lorenzo, lost his job shortly after the youngest daughter was born, and the family started experiencing financial troubles. It was not helped by Lorenzo turning to Wine to drown his sorrows, which worried the rest of the family. Lorenzo and his wife, Layla, often argued loudly during the night. While things never escalated to physical violence, but the yelling still made the three kids uncomfortable. Despite the drama, Leo tried to put on a brave face, and hoped things would work out in the end. They almost did too... Eventually, Layla got a promotion at her job that made up for the loss of income, but by then, the damage was done, and Lorenzo filed for divorce.

Leo currently lives with his mom, and his younger sisters Lilly and Lucy. He is much closer to his mother than with his father. They were not wealthy, but they weren't poor either. Being a single parent, Layla often had to work long hours, leaving Leo responsible for looking after his sisters, and taking care of household things while she worked. Unlike a lot of other boys though, Leo didn't really mind this, and actually enjoyed doing it. As a result of this, he became accustomed to taking care of people. He also learned a lot of domestic skills, and became very good at cooking.

He was a rather scrawny child, and he was often picked on by bullies who thought he was weaker than them. It did not help that he was a sensitive kid, and he had a taste for things that are usually considered girly by others. He would come home with bruises on a regular basis. His father did not help matters by suggesting that living in a house full of girls was turning him into one. While all the bullying upset him, he kept up a cheerful demeanor in front of others, not wanting to burden others with his problems, and if he thinks positively, things will get better.

Around the time Leo entered puberty, things started to change. His mother announced that her office was starting a branch in a new city, and they werr transferring her over to Misty Springs, and that the family would be moving there. His situation began to improve when he started High School. Deciding that he no longer wanted to be a wimp, and a constant bullying victim, he started working out and getting into Sports, which resulted in him putting on a little muscle, and making new friends. Due to his social personality, he quickly became quite popular on campus, particularly with other girls. He also maintained good grades. Things were actually starting to look up. Despite how well things were going, he didn't let it get to his head. He still remained the same sensitive kid he always was on the inside.

Even though things were going well for him, Leo still missed his hometown. Particularly the Sunny weather and beaches that came with a tropical climate. There wasn't much to do in Misty Springs, and he hopes for a little adventure. Nevertheless, he still makes the best out of the situation.

Leo is soon set to begin his Senior year of High School. He is still thinking about his future, and is uncertain about what he's going to do afterward.

Weapon: Leo's weapon in Avalon is a Rapier. A long thin sword with a metal blade. The handle is golden in color. He keeps his weapon in a black sheath on his right hip. He's not really much of a fighter though, he usually prefers to step back, and allow his Persona to do most of the fighting, or provide healing support. However, he still brandishes his weapon during emergencies.

Persona

Mon1010: Whoa that Persona. I'm fine with everything except one thing. Death immunity. Whoa that needs toning down. Healing is perfectly fine but making people immune to death is a tad over the top. I'll assume the tears need physical contact with the person to do that, which does mean the Shadows/enemies could swarm Phoenix and stop the healing but even so. You're Accepted, but on the condition you remove the immunity to death. Because as an ability that's both too good and could lead to really, really awkward situations. Like someone being death immune and getting their head ripped off... urgh just why did I start thinking about it. Yeah. Please get rid of the death immunity. It's awkward for the narrative to have Phoenix making people unkillable.

Human

Name: Louise Henrietta DuBois

Age: 16 [Born 9 October, 1995]

Gender: Female

Arcana: The Star

Appearance: Louise is of a perfectly normal appearance for her age - perfectly average height, an unremarkable skin tone, and just on the upper side of an average weight. However, she is obviously not native to Misty Springs, but a former citizen of French Guiana - as such, this average equates to a height of just 160cm (5'3), thick black hair and medium-dark skin that clearly identifies her mulatto heritage and a rather lean build. With a BMI of around 21, she has a rather flat stomach, a modest chest, and a rounded face that gives her a slightly younger appearance. Her hair is not long, cropped to about her shoulder level - just long enough to tie back when it is more convenient - with bangs that barely touch her thick eyebrows save for a single lock on the right side that always attempts to reach upwards on its own when not attended to. The only other markings of note on her body are a small mole at the high point of her left cheekbone and a light scar on the inside of her right leg, an inconsequential result of an injury during an excursion into a forest near her hometown.

Misty Springs is a relatively new home to Louise, and she is still getting the hang of what local fashion entails. As such, she sticks to simple, plain outfits consisting of solid-color shirts, pants and skirts, lending her daily ensembles to a simple-but-cute image. Having lived in the warmth of an equatorial zone for most of her life, she tends to dress on the warm side. The only particularly distinctive articles of clothing she has with her are a forest-green canvas jacket with patched elbows and a tan burlap bag that bears the name of her mother's old bakery, Au Bon Pain. Louise is almost never seen without a pair of black thick-rimmed glasses with thick lenses, especially given that she cannot see most things from more than two meters away without them. As she is used to the required uniforms of her previous school, she seems to dress slightly nicer than is customary for school in Misty Springs, usually in the form of a white blouse, medium-length black skirt, calf-length black socks, and matching loafers, with various ties and sweaters fitting the season.

Mostly Accurate Visual Reference

Personality: Of first and foremost notability to most students will be the fact that Louise is a foreign student, and knows English as a second language. As such, while her written language is quite accurate, she has a hard time pronouncing more complex words in English, and has a bad tendency to mix up redundancies such as homonyms and homophones (e.g. hearing "tee time" for a round of golf as "tea time"), though context usually allows her to fill in the gaps in her knowledge of English. It still takes her attention to speak fluent and consistent English, and she has a habit of lapsing into French when under stress. All of this is before mentioning that when she does speak, though it is very grammatically correct, she has a thick French accent when compared with native English-speakers.

Due to the inherent communication barrier between Louise and her peers, she has a habit of compensating by using particularly polite speech. As it is, Louise tends to drop her politeness if confronted about it, as she feels much more comfortable reserving her more respectful tone for her elders and being more open with those her own age. At this point, she becomes regularly talkative and energetic, eager to accept any invitation or challenge with gusto. Her small stature leaves her in better shape for short bursts of activity rather than trials of endurance, and also gives her a lower tolerance for stimulants and depressants - caffeinated drinks will send her bouncing off walls, whereas many medications tend to cause her to nod off within the hour. Bearing in mind that certain social conventions that she was raised with are slightly divergent from those of Misty Springs, Louise seems a bit naive in the realm of "street smarts." However, she makes up for this in spades with her technical knowledge, able to provide a deluge of trivia on a variety of subjects when called upon, particularly in the realm of aeronautics. However, this makes her seem to be a bit of a know-it-all to some, though Louise seems to remain oblivious to whether others are put off by this.

To go along with this vivid factual memory, she has a very analytical approach to problems, able to break them down into their component factors and logically deal with each in rather short order before piecing together a solution. Louise's slight social ineptitude makes this a bit of a hit-and-miss affair with more abstract ideas, the foremost example being that, outside of the formulaic baked goods that she was raised making, she has a habit of breaking down recipes and trying to "improve" them by substituting ingredients and altering ratios in such a way that theoretically increases nutritional value, but in practice kills the dish's flavor. While her cooking does leave something to be desired, her athletic ability is comparatively solid. Living in such a sparsely-populated country with such vivid wildlife, Louise took to exploring in the woods immediately near her town as a child, a habit that makes her more attuned to the outdoors and quite resistant to the elements by most girls' standards. She does have her share of feminine habits, however, such as singing, which she has a penchant for slipping into when she is bored, and reading romance novels. Louise happens to think that sheep are the most adorable animal and that wasps are the most terrifying.

History: Louise was born and raised in French Guiana, daughter to André DuBois, an almost stereotypically stouthearted member of the French Foreign Legion with a deadpan humor, and his wife, Claire, a modest and motherly baker. Her father, having enrolled as a Legionnaire at the age of nineteen, was stationed with the 3rd Foreign Infantry Regiment in Kurou, French Guiana, as part of the guard in defense of the Guiana Space Centre. From his arrival at age 21, he remained stationed at the Kurou base for twenty-three years, during which time he met Claire as a clerk at a local bakery, whom he eventually married. As such, Louise was born as the only child to a mother who was frequently at work and a father who was present only sporadically. Until she was at the proper age to attend school, Louise spent a great deal of time either at a playmate's house or, past her toddler stage, occasionally at the bakery with her mother. Still, despite their business, her parents managed to make time for their daughter, with her mother teaching her various baking practices on the job and homemaking practices off the job, and her father taking her to play in the nearby mangroves and jungle's edge when off-duty.

Louise grew up living relatively freely about her neighborhood, and made it through to her teenage school years with no incidents more remarkable than a broken ankle. She retained information from her classes well, and gained a few close friends due to the her amiable disposition. She was not particularly popular, but the girls with whom she kept company found her to be a reliable friend, and they inevitably formed a tight-knit group in spite of their diverse interests. On top of her studies, she also became involved in her school's music program and continued to spend time after school helping part-time at her mother's bakery. Life for Louise, in short, was stable and happy.

In March of 2012, however, Claire and Louise received news that André had been wounded in a minor skirmish against an illegal gold-mining operation. After receiving medical treatment, he was discharged after being declared "unfit for duty," with his left leg paralyzed. Now being forcibly retired, Louise's father convinced his mother that then was a fine opportunity to emigrate to America in order to live closer to his own aging parents. She eventually agreed, and Louise's life was subsequently uprooted and moved to the United States, a move that she had conflicting feelings about but has nonetheless resolved herself to. Upon their arrival, her mother quickly gained employment as a local baker, while her father is still looking to find work. Louise has lived in Misty Springs for the last two months, and in that time has gained a loose feel for the town but, having moved in early summer, not become acquainted with many other students.

Weapon: In Avalon, Louise takes up the glaive as a weapon - in effect, a polearm ending in a short single-edged blade. Her particular variation consists of a pole nearly as long as she is tall, made of an unknown lightweight but resilient wood, with a steel tip on the bottom end and a scarlet ribbon tied about the base of the blade. The drop-point blade itself is about 14 inches long and made of steel, but with a slight spike on the dull side that may be used to catch enemies. The flat of the blade has the roman numeral XVII engraved on its left side.

Other: N/A

PERSONA

Name: Jeanne

Source: Jeanne D'Arc, The Maid of Orléans, is renowned in French lore as a folk heroine. Born a peasant girl in the ravaged state of France amidst the Hundred Years' War, she began to see visions of Catholic saints at the age of twelve and, by the age of sixteen, had gained herself a position amongst the head of the future king Charles VII' forces as an act of desperation. Abandoning the customary siege tactics of the time, she quickly lead the Siege of Orléans on an offensive that, in a series of victories, brought the army's morale to an all-time high and captured the entire river Loire in but four days of military action. She was subsequently acknowledged as the heroine of the engagement, having led the final charge even after suffering an arrow wound to the neck.

Her military campaign lasted but a year, but in that time Jeanne D'Arc lead an unprecedented campaign, retaking French land from English forces on nearly a dozen battlegrounds while suffering little loss in return. Within five months, she had been granted nobility for her fruitful military decisions, perseverance in battle despite frequent and severe injury, and uniting the French forces under an apparent act of God. However, in May of the following year, she was forced to order her force to retreat to nearby fortifications and, having assumed a position as the rear guard, she was unhorsed and captured. Shortly following, she was subject to a long and politically-motivated imprisonment before a short and one-sided trial for heresy before sentenced to burning at the stake. In the end, Jeanne D'Arc struck the world as a bolt of lightning, but in the end was engulfed by the flames she wrought.

Appearance: Jeanne stands tall at two and a half meters - rather, she does not stand at all but rather floats, as she appears with no legs at all, making her true height closer to just over one meter. Her body is covered by a sleeveless silver mail haubergeon and covered by steel plate cuirass, bowing outward slightly about the chest and ending about her armpit level, giving even her armor a slightly feminine appearance. About her neck is a steel collar, holding her mail shirt taught against her skin. Her waist is covered by metal faulds arranged like a skirt, concealing the area about her hips where her legs cease. Her naked arms are rather slender and feminine, but nonetheless bear the tools of war. Her right bears a short arming sword with a gilded gold hilt three hand widths long, while the left carries a heater shield the same red as her cape, embossed in gold with the Cross of Lorraine.

For all of the armor that she wears, Jeanne remains a young woman hardly older than Louise herself, with a soft, pale face and thin lips to show for it. Though a visor with vertical slits covers her ears and conceals her eyes but for glints of blue in the light, her rosy cheeks and blonde hair are still visible, the latter having been cropped mercilessly short and straying backwards, unkept. She wears a vibrant red cape down to the small of her back, flowing from the steel collar at her neck, embroidered in gold with the Cross of Lorraine to match her shield.

A/N: For reference, the Cross of Lorraine and armour components.

Powers: Jeanne D'Arc, famous as a warrior, can make full use of her sword and shield in battle. Her precision with the pair forms a potent one-two combo through providing a wide guard against enemy offenses before turning to impale them with her sword-arm as they are repelled. For enemies at a greater distance, she bears with her a reserve of magic in which she is equally proficient. Her magic manifests itself as lightning struck from heaven and, depending on the situation, can range anywhere from a ravaging bolt to a spark with a paralyzing effect. While useful in a multitude of situations, Jeanne's divine lightning can strike only one enemy at a time. She also possesses a minor capacity for healing magic, be it fairly weak compared to true healers. Atop this, despite all her wards, the nature of her demise has left her highly susceptible to the element of fire.

What abilities does the Persona have? Ideally, this should have some basis in their Arcana, and perhaps their original source.

I'm thinking more like there's a lot that have moved into Misty Springs...

Name
: Carina Dawson
Age: 18
Gender: physically male, mentally female
Arcana: The Lovers

Appearance: Carina has long walnut brown hair, reaching down to her waist when not done up. She will style it in different ways on some occasions, but most of the time she wears a headband with a matching ribbon clip at the end to gather it. She has medium blue eyes and a face clear of blemishes (she makes certain of that). On most days, she wears makeup, liking red lipstick, a bit of blush and foundation (to disguise signs of facial hair), and mascara; a 'natural but better' look, she would say.

Being 5”11' and a boy in body, she relies a lot on clothing tricks to look more feminine and attractive. She keeps her skin smooth and hair-free, and uses shaping underwear to keep a proper waist and hip shape. She doesn't do much to pad her chest, just claiming to be a pettanko and being careful not to wear tops that would betray the truth. Being a fan of lolita-type fashions but not able to afford the full look, she usually wears dresses and skirts in solid colors, adding pretty or cute accessories like necklaces, bracelets, and belts to finish a look. A special occasion will see her wearing one of her few elaborate dresses. She is conscious of her weight and keeping fit, but not to obsessive levels.

Her voice is a medium range, so it's hard to tell her gender over a phone.

Personality: Carina is known as a flirt and a tease, loving to get attention and have fun. She is a highly romantic person. However, her romantic relationships generally last for two months and then end up breaking for seemingly trivial issues (explained a bit more in History). She keeps saying that she's looking for her soulmate; she is looking for someone who would accept her situation and still love her, but she tends to second-guess if she can trust others before letting them in on things. She does get jealous if her boyfriend is showing more than 'reasonable' attention to another girl and has been known to get very angry and vengeful if he cheats on her. Otherwise, she likes to dote on and support her boyfriend.

Around others, she is cheerful and energetic. She looks to help people, make them happy, and not upset them. This is because she believes that being happy is the best state a person could be in. However, she's not selfless. She's outwardly confident, with a big ego and something of a narcissist streak. She gets involved in problems she doesn't need to be in and likes it when people depend on her. If told that she's not needed, she will be insulted and will attempt to prove her worth, possibly even to the point of recklessness if the 'insult' is seen as grave enough.

While she can handle a few insults, she doesn't want to be hated or ignored. She is especially afraid of being rejected by someone she loves because of her gender. A few months ago, she would have been totally certain of being a girl, thinking that any problem in her life could have been non-existent if she had been born that way. Currently, she is silently considering if she does really want that, and who she really might be. She keeps up her confident demeanor because that's who people see her as and she doesn't want to disappoint them by being uncertain openly.

History: Born as Charles Dawson, Carina lived with her mother with whom she has a good relationship. She often had incidents of mixing up gender expectations. As early as three years old, she raised a fuss when her grandmother said she couldn't wear a sparkly witch costume for Halloween because it was a dress and she was a boy. Her mother was more forgiving, allowing that one costume and not saying that she had to do or not do things because of her gender. This was passable when she was very young, but in school, teachers insisted that Charles was a boy and had to be involved in and do boy things. Since they never gave reasons she felt was adequate, she rebelled and tried more typically girl things. This got her teased by her peers, but since her mother said that she should do what she wanted, she grew a tough skin to them.

Around the time she was eleven, she told her mother that she didn't want to be Charles anymore, and she'd definitely prefer to be a girl. She experimented in wearing dresses and makeup, which her mother agreed to because she felt that's who she really was. When she turned twelve, she was even allowed to legally change her name over to Carina instead of Charles, something she chose because she liked the name. This got complaints from her grandparents, but they eventually accepted it.

But this also caused the teasing in school to turn to outright bullying. Carina often ended up in fistfights and the school staff judged unfairly against her because of her trying to be a girl. Her family got fed up with that and took the risk to move out to another school district to avoid this. At Misty Springs, they found a school official who was willing to pass Carina off as a girl. Currently, only that official, Carina's family, and the family doctor know about her true identity within the small town.

Although she was then thirteen and had to take more steps to ensure a feminine appearance, the new start made Carina much happier and she soon had good friends in school. She also began to date boys. But however much in love she felt she was with her boyfriend, once it developed to a certain point, she would become afraid of being discovered and would find any reason to break it off no matter how upset it made him and her. She even made a strong bid to be nominated prom queen and went with a popular guy that she was dating at the time, but broke up with him shortly after for the usual reasons.

In recent months, though, something has happened to change Carina's life drastically: her father came back into her life. He had become a born-again Christian and was greatly passionate about it. And he did not like to discover that his son Charles was living as a girl and fooling everybody. However, he thinks that he can convert Carina to his particular church and get her to be a him again. But unlike the school bullies, Carina has a hard time convincing herself that her father doesn't understand. He does genuinely care about her well-being and wants to see her happy and successful, but thinks that she needs to be cleared of confusion and become her proper gender for that to happen.

There is also the fact that her father doesn't know that she's been dating boys, because that's what girls did. Now Carina's worried about being labeled as gay or if she should be a girl after all. After living with a permissive and doting mother, her father's attempt to clear 'his' mind has only confused her greatly. She has wanted a father around for much of her life and wonders if she would have tried to be more like a boy if he had been around. While she's uncertain, Carina still behaves as a girl and has thus far convinced her father not to make a public debacle out of this.

Now that she's graduated, her plan has been to try for a computer science degree and earn the money to get a gender reassignment. But the latter part of that is up in the air.

Weapon: Carina uses a mace and a small shield in combat. Initially, this will start off as a small spiked black mace and gray shield, but if better options come up she could switch.

Other: Due to Carina's gender identity issues, I may switch between which pronouns I use for her if the situation calls for it. She should be referred to primarily with feminine pronouns.

I wonder if she's dated any of the guys in the game...

Persona Sign-Up:

Name: Undine

Source: Undine is one of several names for water nymphs and spirits, but was named particularly as a water elemental spirit by a German alchemist. It is said that they are immortal but have no soul; they can earn one by marrying a man and bearing his child. One famous one, named Ondine, did just that, but her husband was unfaithful when she became mortal and aged. She cursed him so that if he ever fell asleep again, he would stop breathing and die.

Appearance: Undine appears to be a slim young woman with blue skin (not a sickly blue, but something akin to a Smurf), a little shorter than Carina. She has thick golden hair that hangs loose down to her thighs and dark green eyes. She wears a bikini that appears to be made out of jewel-tone green scales and pieces of seaweed, and nothing else at all. On her neck, there are several flaps that appear to be gills. Her fingers and toes are also slightly webbed.

Powers: As a water spirit, she uses primarily water magic and lacks any physical attack skills. Her most commonly seen spells would be creating a whirlpool to weakly attack a group of enemies and casting a ball of water similarly to a fireball (this is a stronger attack, but is single-target). She can also do some healing and attempt to put enemies to sleep.

This Undine is actually modestly dressed compared to most of the Shin Megami versions, lol.

I was wondering how you'd handle the whole crossdresser deal, and I'm actually quite intrigued by how this could turn out. I am still toying vaguely with the idea of doing a Persona 4 'face your shadow' deal, though it's awkward because the cast will be pretty large, but I would definitely be interested to see how you handle that. Carina is Accepted.

Manaphy Mare

1000 Words
*looks at Blivsey's SU* Looks like I won't be the only one with a historical persona.

Name: Drake Lune
Age: 16
Gender: Male
Arcana: The High Priestess

Appearance: Drake stands at a medium-tall height. His build is slender and slightly athletic. His limbs are rather scrawny, but not to the point that people would mistake him for malnourished if they saw him. Most would equate his build to that of most J-rock or J-pop stars. He has a light tan with no visible acne. Drake’s hair is a bright, shock-white and falls to his shoulders. His face shape is a reverse triangle with bangs that tend to hide his eyes. During the few times his eyes are visible from behind his bangs they are a muted-aqua and have a look of uncertainty. His eyebrows are fairly thin when compared to his peers. The expression that is usually adorning his face is meek and somewhat uncertain.

Drake’s outfit varies from day-to-day but often consists of darker blues and greens. He does, however, have a few things that he wears daily. The first, and most noticeable, would be his duel disc, which appears to be based out of the designs from the second series of the anime. He also has a deck holder attached to his belt. Another accessory he is almost never without is his glasses. They have narrow, rectangular lenses with thick, black frames.

For those who don't know what his duel disc looks like here is a reference.

Personality: Drake is incredibly timid when he first meets someone. He mostly keeps to himself at first and will more often write his thoughts in his journal than say them. Even after he begins to come out of his shell, he still remains quiet, but he is much more willing to put his two cents in. The two constant traits he has is his ease of scaring and startling. Even though he is easily frightened, ghost stories and haunted houses don’t really scare him that much due to their predictability. They may, however, get a scream of surprise -especially if the source is behind him- and an occasional jump behind his closest -physically speaking- friend for cover.

Drake is generally sweet and gentle around others. He is also quite a crybaby at most times; it takes very little for him to burs into tears. In contrast, however, he is actually quite intelligent when compared to most of his peers, enough so to be skipped ahead a grade and still be in the top ten of his class. Despite his intelligence he is not pompous or aloof, but rather humble and down-to-earth. He tends to be very formal and well mannered. Drake has one major vice: sweets. His favorite happens to be chocolate. One thing Drake hates to do is make waves; he would even say something that completely goes against his personality just so that everyone else will get along.

History: Drake’s early life was fairly average. His parents were fairly wealthy, with his father’s private practice and his mother’s legal firm there was always more than enough money. It wasn’t until he turned ten years old that two of the events that would define him started a chain-reaction that would bring him to his position now. The first was when his parents were called in to speak with Drake’s teacher. They initially suspected their son was in trouble, but were more than surprised when they heard that his teacher wanted to skip him ahead a grade. The other event was seemingly much more mundane, there had been a new craze sweeping his peers: the Yugioh Card Game. He had saved up his allowance to purchase a deck and one of the toy duel discs. This was when he began his love for the game and the Amazoness archetype. It wasn’t until three years later when these two would collide.
By the time Drake was a teenager he had managed to design a fully functional version of the duel disc using his old toy as the housing for his prototype. Needless to say, the executives at Konami were initially skeptical of the boy, but were speechless as he demonstrated the technology. They soon began manufacturing his new invention and began a renaissance of sorts for the card game. Instead of publicly showing his invention, he chose to stay secret and let the executives say they hired a team of scientists to develop the invention. His reasoning was how isolated he felt in his hometown due to his peers thinking he was a snobby boy-genius, the last thing he wanted was for the students at his school to think even less of him.

Weapon: Drake's weapon on Avalon is a whip made of golden silk braided with white linen. Though it may not strike as hard as one made of leather, it is more lightweight and fast than one.
Other: Drake’s evoker is his Journal. He also uses an Amazoness deck when he actually plays the yugioh card game.

Persona Sign-Up:

Name: Anne Frank
Source: Anne is a historical figure well known for the diary she kept while in hiding during the Nazi occupation of the Netherlands. During this time she would write about the various happenings in the secret room where she stayed. The writing stopped when she and the other residents were discovered and taken to Auschwitz.

Appearance: At a single glance Anne looks like an ordinary girl with brown, shoulder-length hair. Her skin is only a few shades darker than ghostly pale. She is garbed in a deep, navy-blue jumper with white, ruffled trim. Slung over her shoulder is a white bag that contains her diary and a pen. The final pieces of her appearance are a pair of white, ankle-high boots.

Powers: Anne’s primary ability lies within scanning the enemies and identifying their strengths and weaknesses. When she is done scanning she will write down her results in her diary which then appear within Drake’s journal. Her diary is also capable of showing whatever he writes in his journal.

Name: Nicolas "Nick" Harley
Age: 24
Gender: Male
Arcana: WHEEL! OF! FORTUUUUUUUUUUNE! (I'd like to buy a vowel by the way.)

Appearance: (Just so you know, I really suck at doing Appearances >.> ) Nick is a stands at 6'2, and is reletively strong, but is not very muscular. Although he isn't one for sports, he keeps himself in pretty good shape. His hair is a very dark brown that's so dark most people mistake his hair for being black. He has small signs of facial hair around his jaw, as he shaves, but not often enough to keep his face completely smooth. His eyes are a dark blue, like sapphires.

Nick tends to wear nice looking clothes, as he likes to make himself look like smooth operator. He wears a white suit with a blue button up shirt underneath, and has black leather shoes. He wears a gold ring on each of his middle and index fingers, each with varying jewels on them.

Personality: Nick is a fun loving guy who is stubborn to a fault and has the tendancy to not give up, even when he should. This has led him into bad situations in the past, but has also occasionally yielded surprising and fortunate results. He's very sarcastic and often rubs people the wrong way on first impressions, but if you get to know him he's alot more tolerable. Although he appears to get mad easily, it's just by his nature, and isn't really his true anger. What is his true anger like? You probably don't want to know.

Interestingly enough, Nick is also a fatalist. Meaning, he strongly believes in fate. Like a wise man once said, "Sh!t happens." This also gives a bit of an explanation as to why he is often extremely presistant with whatever he sets his eyes on, as he figures that he chooses his own fate, and the only way to do that is by never giving up.

History: Nicolas, or Nick as he'd rather be called, was born in Los Angales, California. His father was a heavy drinker, and unfortunately for his mother, he was a wife beater as well. She endured it for 8 years of Nick's life, until finally after a particularly bad fight, she finally had enough. Within a few months the two divorced and Nick's mother was given full custody of Nick. Her mother was orginally from Misty Springs, and moved back home to her friends and family with Nick. Nick hated the place, missing the big city, but he was at least happy to see his mother being truely happy after many years.

Never a very good student from the start, Nick dropped out of school at 18 when he discovered his new found love; gambling. The thrill of it gave him a rush he never felt before, and after a very good (and also lucky) winning streak, he got tired of school and finally left in his Junior year. His favorite game was blackjack, and after playing it for awhile, he eventually became well known by anyone who'd played with him as being the best around.

Although he is currently unemployed, some recent wins on his part have allow him to be a bit extravegant with his choice of clothing. Also out of sheer boredom from how small the town is, Nick decided to learn martial arts, just because he'd thought it'd make him look cooler.

Weapon: Nick wields a full deck of playing cards, which he throws like ninja stars. These cards are however sharp like knives. The Ace of Spades, which is at the bottom of the deck, makes the rest of the deck reappear if Mike gets down to just it. If Nick loses his deck, he can make it return to him as long as he has the Ace of Spades.

Nick also knows martial arts, and his ability to fight hand to hand is increased when in Avalon (basically he goes from being just some white guy who knows martial arts, to Bruce Lee).

Other: Nick is very open about his sexuality. Speaking of which, Nick is bisexual, so don't think your character is safe just because he's a guy. He's also a drinker, not enough to be an alcoholic, but when he wants to celebrate or if he's down in the dumps you can expect him to want to drink some beer.

Faithful Crusader
Name: Nodoka Hirano

Age: 17

Gender: Female

Arcana: XIV – Temperance

Appearance: Nodoka has a very proper and tidy look about her. Her hair is cut in a perfect traditional miko cut, with the bangs being even at about eye-brow level, and the rest of her shoulder-length, silky black hair being even and straight. Her hair hangs down to exactly two inches past her shoulders, where it is cut evenly. Her dark eyes can be either piercing or calm, but rarely anything else. She always stands straight, and bows perfectly. In many ways, she's like a perfect traditional Japanese maiden.

Like the aspects of her physical appearance that are within her control, Nodoka's choice in style is proper and neat. She normally wears nice clothes, always unwrinkled or pressed, and will take any excuse to properly dress up in a kimono, yukata, or other such fancier garb. She has on more than one occasion gone out to town in a kimono or yukata simply because she wanted to. If she wears an accessory such as a watch or necklace or earring, they always match, and are always balanced by something. A watch on her left arm means a bracelet on her right. Symmetry is always present in her appearance.

Personality: To put it simply, Nodoka has a severe case of OCD, or Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. She is obsessed with balance and presentation, and always tries to uphold herself to her own high standards. She will do everything in her power to ensure that she makes a good impression. Not only that, but she will never allow herself to be "unbalanced". She folds her paper precisely in half or even fourths, she checks the evenness of her hair every morning, she packs her lunch in perfect ratios of 50-50 or 25-25-25-25, she ties her shoes exactly the same down to the centimeter, she will even go so far as to purposely injure her left foot if she cuts her right. It goes without saying that she's forced herself to become ambidextrous. It is an obsession that invades every aspect of her life.

When she's not worrying over some fine detail, Nodoka is actually a pleasant person to be around. She's talkative, energetic, and friendly. Sadly, her obsession has started to spread, and if she sees something that's obviously uneven, she can't help but try to fix it, wither it be an ad tapped to a wall, a box on a store shelf, whatever. Nodoka herself doesn't realize that she even has what most people would call a problem, and is immune to others telling her otherwise.

You may think that with such a compulsion for balance and perfection, that she would be a hassle to be around. That's actually not the case. She is actually a very agreeable person. Does it get on her nerves when others don't comply? Sure it does. Does she let them know? Of course. But three seconds later, she's laughing and joking again. Now this may seem unbalanced, but she actually says that she would be unbalanced should she act all uptight all the time and does her fair share of joking around, even when it comes to her obsession. Make of that what you will.

In school, she's an overachiever. With friends, she's a mediator. At home, she's a problem solver. Whatever facet of her life she's in, she's always active. Always working. Always trying to do her best. For her, what you get out of life is all about the effort you put in, and she's certainly not one to get lazy.

History: Nodoka had a fairly standard childhood, for a child with an abnormally high IQ and a drive to excel that is. She was born and raised in Japan, in a little town called Haneame. Throughout her childhood, she consistently attended public school all the wall through high school. (Literally, she has five perfect attendance awards). However, she didn't just attend school, she excelled at it. At the age of fifteen she graduated High School. At her present age of 17, she has already completed a year of college.

Her obsessive behavior first started to manifest as she was in the later years of elementary school. It started with simply lining up the pens and pencils and paper on her desk. Fast forward to high school, and she actually measures them with a ruler. She has managed to live a fairly normal school life though, she made friends, attended club activities and everything else.

When she entered high school, there were only two clubs she had her eyes on, the Calligraphy Club and the Tea Ceremony Club. Not only did she excel at both, but she actually served as the president of the Tea Ceremony Club, having achieved this after only one year, and expected no less than a proper and perfect presentation from all of her club members. In fact, her reputation often proceeds her, and she has been known by several nicknames, including the "Queen of Tea" and the "Rule Master". Needless to say, she also became very popular with the teachers, and was the class rep for her homeroom as well.

This continued through college where, despite her young age, she continued to excel through sheer effort. However, something felt like it was missing. After her first year, she decided to take a break from schooling, at least for a semester or two, to help her narrow down exactly what it was that she wanted to do after college. Even with all her effort, she didn't have a real goal for after her schooling. And going forward without a goal is completely against her nature. So, she searched for a way to just escape her everyday life for a while and really think things over. This led her to her grandparents, who had recently retired to a little town in the US called Misty Springs. She made her preparations and moved in with her grandparents, to stay in Misty Springs for an indefinite amount of time, just until she can figure out what is is she wants to do with her life.

With her odd habits and traditional Japanese style, she certainly stands out in Misty Springs, especially among the other kids. She really hasn't given much effort to meet anyone as of yet, but she has been on the lookout for a new job. The fact that she was fluent in English right out of Middle School certainly helps. She's found a bit of a part time job offering to tutor some of the students from the local high school, just to help her pass the time.

Weapon: Nodoka's weapon in Avalon will be a large long bow, seemingly carved from a living cherry blossom tree. Green leaves dot the ends of the bow's tall frame (which at around three feet is right at the limit of what Nodoka can manage) and its frame is dotted with sakura flowers that, by all indication, still grow, blossom, and smell sweetly. When she draws her bow, an arrow manifests from a faint pink light. Despite their magical manifestation, the arrows appear to be normal arrows made of wood, tipped with metal, and with a perfectly even, crisp white feathering on the end. When she fires an arrow, the bow seems to scatter a few sakura petals. Despite this, the flowers on the bow are always clean and perfect.

~ Persona Sign-Up Form ~

Name: Tsukuyomi

Source: Shinto Mythology - Represents the moon and placed a high value on presentation. So much so in fact, that he actually killed a fellow megami for the manner in which she prepared his food. Is the brother of the sun goddess Amaterasu and the legendary warrior Susano-O.

Appearance: Tsukuyomi takes the form of a masked figure, wrapped in a dark blue robe. The robe appears to be dotted with faint, twinkling silver lights, almost like stars. Beneath the heavy robe, she wears nothing but a layer of white wrappings, almost like the bandage wraps of a mummy, but more precise and even, appearing only at right angles to each other, made of unblemished and pristine silk, and leaving no skin showing. These wraps cover every inch of her body not covered by the robe. Her face is covered by a white, emotionless fox mask. Red lines trace the whiskers and black orbs mark the eyes. A black strap holds the mask to her face and long, perfectly straight black hair, the same exact color as the strap, flows from behind the mask into a perfect ponytail, with not a hair out of place, and held by a silver ribbon that reminds one of moonlight. In her hands she holds the Mirror of Yata, one of her symbols.

(I know that Tsukuyomi is supposed to be a guy, but since P3P gave us a female Orpheus, I figured it was best to match Nodoka's gender. It helps that I've seen Tsukuyomi represented as female before.)

Powers: Tsukuyomi is illusion oriented. Utilizing the Mirror of Yata, she can cast illusions that actually have physical weight, but can be easily destroyed. Each and every illusion that she casts is under her direct control, but there are limitations to this. She cannot move while casting illusions and her illusions can't mimic anything living. She can cast the image of a person, but that image can neither talk nor make any sort of noise at all. While the illusions have weight and apparent mass, they do not have energy nor do they copy the properties of the original object. If she casts the image of a spear, it can impale an enemy, but an illusion of a bomb can't explode at all. Likewise, an illusion of paper isn't flammable, and an illusion of fire can't be extinguished by water. Outside of her illusions, she has no other offensive powers. Her only other defensive ability is reflecting magic attacks, which is a hit or miss strategy and is completely ineffective against physical attacks. To do so, Tsukuyomi must see the attack coming and use her mirror to reflect it. This also works on allies magic skills. Finally, Tsukuyomi has the ability to heal an ally, by draining the energy from someone else. It is not a healing spell, but a literal transfer of vitality. For her to heal someone, someone else has to sacrifice equivalent energy for the healing.
