I was looking through the news a moment ago, and came across this article:

Aparently, PETA thinks that because Mario wears his Tanooki, Nintendo promotes skinning animals to wear their fur.


This is completely insane, of course, as is their game. What are your opinions on this? Don't really think this merits debates, so I'm putting it here.

Isn't this old news?

PETA is just trying to get media attention again, it means nothing to the gaming world. Besides, they should have brought this up years ago when Mario first wore his Tanooki. Maybe then they would have been taken more seriously.
