England Rules!!!
I was planning to get photoshop so i looked things in the internet.

I was very confused because i saw 2 different photoshops. Adobe and Serif.

Can someone tell me what are the difference between them.
Which one is better?

Are there any other great photoshops somewhere?

Please help!

Thanks. :)

Something that allows you to download things illegally. Don't bother asking about it here.

And I don't care what Latios said, Tamagon, but you should switch from Bearshare and use something else. Bearshare has spyware in it. Not a good thing.

Well, there's no other "Photoshops", but there are other image editors out there not named Photoshop.

I reccomend the GIMP or a GIMPshop. They're both free, and the second one was made to look like Photoshop. xD

But, really, I reccomend the first of these 2. Takes a while to get used to, but there're a lot of tutorials.

Those two look helpful, but I'm worried about viruses. Are either of these programs known to infect viruses or spyware in Windows XP?

I don't trust any of those P2P network programs. If I recall, not a single one is an open source program, so they're likely to pack ads and spyware into your computer. Just get the original program and pay for it. That way, you're certain that it will work like it's supposed to and you won't be breaking the law.

As for Photoshop, Adobe's is likely to be better, but I can't say because I haven't ever seen or tried the other company's Photoshop.

BZZZT. False. See Limewire for details. No spyware, and open-source.

Now whether or not the files you download in it are spyware or not, that's less certain, and downright likely. Realize that Limewire uses the same network KaZaA uses.

But one of them (if not both) claim that the download is legal.

And what does Limewire have to do with it, btw?

If you need the power of Photoshop, buy Photoshop Elements 4 instead. It still have some features of Photoshop, with limitations. An alternative would be Paint Shop Pro, which some computer artists use since it's easier to use. Gimp is alot harder and can clutter your desktop since it totally opens alot of windows. Paint.net is another free alternative to Gimp, but lacks some features that GIMP has.

How much does Photoshop Elements/PSP cost? I've been considering PSP since it's supposed to be cheaper than Photoshop, but I'd still rather get GIMP, unless it has spyware or something in it.
