Could someone just explain this fully to me please? I've checked the main site but I've heard that it changes with the level or something as well I'm not sure.......

In the emerald version depending on the level of your pickup pokemon, it can pick up items after battle at a 10% rate, so if you have a party of 4 or 5 linoones you may have a better chance of pickup. Those of level 91-100 can pickup some of the rarest items including the highly demanded TM26 for earthquake & leftover items at a very rare rate. My inventory of TM26 is currently at 13 and this is after using this item to over 12 pokemon already.

another useful tip is to just stick a zigzagoon in the day-care when you first reach mauville city. come back when you've beaten the elite four and it should be jacked up at least 20-30 levels. Or you could carry a zigzagoon with you wherever you go. that's what i do.

May I correct you that people playing pokemon emerald do not have it easy even though you can get earthquake from pickup. You firstly need a lvl91 linoone/zigzagoon. Then you gotta wait a for slim chance of like 1-2% for earthquake pick up. That means in theory you got to fight 50-100 pokemon for the earthquake pickup. Its pretty alot, and you might not even get it in the 100th pokemon.

Exactly. For instance, my lv. 100 linoone has yet to to bring me one earthquake tm. I keep getting tm 01 from my lv. 90 linoone though.

Well,at least you have the opportunity. Surely it helps that you have the chance of multiple TM 26's,whereas in Sapphire I only get one. When I said yet another case, I was referring to the fact that you can speed up your eggs with Flame Body or Magma Armour. Not so in Sapphire.
