I was wondering how other people here pronounce Pidgeot's name?

Is it Pi-jit

Or is it Pi-Jee-Ot

I used to know someone who prounounced it Pi-Jit just like Pidgeon is pronounced, but I always thought it was Pi-Jee-Ot???

Well, the anime pronounces it both ways. o_O

I PERSONALLY say PI-JEE-OT

but both ways work too. (I guess)

i think they say pid jee ot in the show so...........thats how i say it even before i saw the show

Hmmm... I see the majority of people do pronounce it that way, but I think it could go either way. I know Ash pronounces it Pi-Jee-Ot, while the narrator in Stadium 1 & 2 pronounces it as Pid-Jit. But thanks, anyway! I was just wondering!

Pronounce it the way the anime does, they pronounce it right. The announcer in the Pokemon Stadium games pronounces it wrong. >_>

I pronounce it Pid-jee-ot, like the majority here. I've heard it pronounced both ways in the anime, so either way is fine.

I used to call it Pid-jit, but personally, I think that name sounds a bit... degrading?

It's Pid-jee-ot, no questions asked.

In one chronicles episode, both pronounciations are used by different characters. Then again, it is Chronicles we're talking about.

I pronounce it Pid-Jee-Ot its the way I've always said it. On Pokemon Stadium they pronounce it Pid-jot or something like that I can't remember.

In this Pokemon book I got 7 or so years ago, it said Pigeot is pronounced pi-jit. During the 1st season of Pokemon, at the end of the show they had Pokemon rap. The guy siad pij-it. However the rest of the characters say pig-jeeot. We all do 'cause we say it phonetically. It is actually pronounced as pij-it, but does anybody really care? NO!

wen in doubt pronounce it phonetically(which by the way is not spelled phonetically) its probably the way to pronounce it anyway and if its not u still ahve a good chance of getting the message across

The OFFICIAL Pokemon handbook with all the CORRECT pronunciations for the Pokemon said in black and white it is PIJ-IT.

Case closed.
