I like the idea of adding text.

also, maybe add a gaussian blur on a new layer and set it to screen. Then play with the contrast. (if you're using photoshop)

I'd rather not. I played with various text ideas, but it never turned out well. Also, by doing your other suggestion, I run the risk of intensifying the colors more than necessary. The Pikmin in the lower left of the piece are in a tree and clearer to the eye, while the Pikmin below are blurred at farther away. Nevertheless, thanks for the comment and tips.
