One time in a tournament, my team was getting thrashed by a Latias, and all I had left was a Pikachu (I didn't have many Level 50, so I was forced to use him). He gave Latias some trouble, the guy switched, I beat his second Pokemon, he switched back to Latias, Pikachu won.
And then he brought out Metagross. Hey, the battle was fun while it lasted. =/

*Cough* anywho, what do you think I'm gonna say? But it doesn't matter because after Pikachu won, then Chibi would come in and whip his arse. Provided they were on the same level with no trainer instruction, that is.

Pikachu has a type disadvantage. End of story. (unless you want to put specs that have Pikachu with ungodly high stats and Bulbasaur with crappy ones)

Pikachu may have the type disadvantage, but it'll still beat Bulbasaur with Light Ball + STAB + Thunderbolt. It can Substitute on the Sleep Powder/Leech Seed, Encore the stuff, and fry Bulba with electricity. Bolt with Light Ball 3HKOs it. If that Pika has Hidden Power Ice, then its a 2HKO. Simple as that
