Pinsir VS Heracross

which is the better bug, pinsir or heracross, because im debating on using one in my BF team. Any opinions?

definatly heracross! it has good attack,a decent movepool,can learn endurev,and with megahorn it can pretty much 1hit-ko anything.

That´s good, it´s easier to a perfect endure!

Yeah, Heracross is the best Bug Pokémon, just losing for Ninjask.

hera is even better than ninjask. enough speed to outrun jolteon after salac boost, STAB reversal/brick break/megahorn, ability to live through special attacks with ease.

Heracross is better. Heracross has the best bug attack, Megahorn. And Pinsir has only Hidden Power Bug, and that's almost impossible to get ingame. Heracross also gets STAB on Brick Break / Reversal or Focus Punch.

when you have 1/4 HP or less, the pokemon eats the salac berry and boost their speed by half. therefore, heracross's 264 would become 396, enough to outrun timid jolteon.

It can be a monster when used right. It is just overshadowed by a generic, boring beetle that is unworthy of any atention

I would use heracross because it has natural bug move megahorn that if used properly can OHKO a pokemon easily. And to take care of its 4X weakness to flying just teach it rock slide and give it a salac berry

(I know, their defenses are good, I just wrote like that to make the post a little shorter)
I know, you choose your Pokémon based on what region it is, just because Pinsir is from Kanto, you start bashing every other Pokémon from other regions thinking that kanto ones are the best...
I´ve seen this for a long time ago.
I´m just saying what I see.

Heracross owns Pinsir badly. Maybe Pinsir owned Heracross before the Advanced Gen, when Heracross didn't have Swords Dance. But those days are gone.

Heracross has Megahorn. Pinsir doesn't. Pinsir has can't get any double STAB, and Heracross can.

But that's not to say Pinsir's a bad Pokemon. He can hit hard and fast, and he doesn't have the 4x weakness to Flying and weakness to Psychic Heracross has. Though Fire attacks pretty much own him, due to the low Special Defense.

So, yeah, Heracross. Plus, I like his design more than Pinsir's.
