(I've posted this here becuase it involves everal different games so I didn't think it belonged in any particular game's section.)

I've been wondering, in previous generations the third game of the gen is normally compatible with the other non-hand-held games of the generation. But this time, with Platinum, several pokemon (Giratina, Shaymin, possibly Rotom and/or Castform) have new forms. So, will Platinum be compatible with games like Battle Revolution and My Pokemon Ranch? If so, then surely the identity of the silhouettes and the appearance of the new forms will be in the game-code somewhere. What I'm asking is, if this is the case can somebody technically-minded search the code for us other fans?

It will be like deoxys. Deoxys had different formes in each GBA game but when you connect him into a link battle, he is shown with his normal forme sprite but with his stats different depending which game he was in.

No, it isn't in the game coding. They will convert back to their regular formes upon transfer.
