Play gamecube games on ps2

Some guy used to live in my building. He could play xbox games on his ps2 i forgot to ask him how he did that then he moved. So does any1 know how to play gamecube games on ps2?

Of course, a lot of games that appeared on X-box also appeared on PS2, so that isn't really proof either

I was messing with someone one day. I had a Gamecube and played Pokemon Colosseum on it. Recorded it on a DVD recorder. Then I played it back on the PS2 so a friend could see what I did. Up until I explained what I was doing, he thought I was somehow playing Pokemon Colosseum on the PS2. LOL. Maybe it's something similar?????

Well, it's possible he was just using a PS2 controller on a GC (I have one) and just pretended to be able to do it. Otherwise, it's not possible.
