    Just a notice, we recently discovered that someone got into a moderator account and started hard deleting a load of key and legacy threads...around 150 threads have been lost dating back to 2007 and some weeks ago so we can't roll the forums back.
    Luckily no personal data could be accessed by this moderator, and we've altered the permissions so hard deleting isn't possible in the future
    Sorry for any inconvenience with this and sorry for any lost posts.
  • Hi all. We had a couple of reports of people's signatures getting edited etc. in a bad way. You can rest assured this wasn't done by staff and nobody has compromised any of our databases.

    However, remember to keep your passwords secure. If you use similar passwords to elsewhere which has been accessed, people and even bots may be able to access your account.

    We always recommend using unique passwords, and two-factor authentication if you are able. Make sure you're as secure as possible

I didn't see anyone else post about this, so I hope I'm not repeating a question that's already been answered.

I noticed when you battle a friend, you can set to auto-scale your Pokemon to 50. But when I did a Random Battle online, though I kept getting matched against teams of 50s, mine stayed in their current 40s range. Is there a way to set it to scale, or is this just poor luck in getting matched up with (what I assume was) a scaled down team of 100s? I fully expected to get obliterated since I tossed in some Pokemon that weren't fully EV trained, but it would've been nice to have a team closer to my level!

you get downscaled, not upscaled.

Is anyone else getting disconnected a lot when you try to trade for a pokemon on the GTS? I'm finding it to be really irritating :(

the PSS is great. I'm really having fun with wonder trade. I've just been kinda going around to all the routes catching everything I find and trading it to random people. I think I traded everything from route 12 to someone. I got a few fun things, a Dugtrio, a Skitty, a Ralts a german whismur. I really just like all the places i'm trading with, Then I can send them a "nice"back and. I dunno just something about trading from someone in Germany or France or even japan.

Though I think i've hit the highlight of my night. I was trading a Digtrio to someone and they ended up giving me a shiny Mienfoo. No joke here's the picture. Part of me wants to keep it because it's my first legit shiny ever given to me, but at the same time It's not the first shiny i've found. I have yet to find that. So I might be trading it. But it was so cool to see none the less. Whoever that dude was, you just made my night. I was having a crap day to cause I failed my math midterm,

I really wish I can connect to the gts or pss. I keep getting unable to connect to the server. There must be a lot of people on there or something.

Sounds like a problem with your internet connection and/or modem/router, I've been connecting fine since I bought the game.

So I've done more "research" into the O-Power step counter feature. Yesterday I did my walk ending around 9pm and it lasted 3 hours. Today my walk ended at 11:50 and it lasted 10 minutes.

So basically, it just reads your DS system's step counter. If you walk in the morning, your O-Power goes up faster all day. If you walk in the evening...you get ripped off. :p

Tomorrow I'll look more scientifically into the thresholds, but so far it looks like:
900 - nothing
2XXX - 2x o-power regeneration multiplier
6XXX - 4x o-power regeneration multiplier
13XXX - still 4x, so I'm not going to try to find anything beyond 4x (13k steps in a day is ridiculous :p )

I often get the very annoying "has already been traded" and I sometimes get the even more annoying error that forces you to restart the whole 3DS.

Yep, I love that feature. Especially since I don't even need to change anything. I've always taken my 3DS with me when walking my dog in the morning, now I get a free bonus for in pokemon.

the communication errors are starting to get really annoying. It's only happening on the starters that I try trading for though. I'm able to trade other things just fine. it's odd, but the fact that I totally have to power down the system is annoying.

Yeah it just happened to me when I was testing my theory. Glad you have to save before doing anything though.

Thought at first my entire development was ruined, then I realized... Oh yeah I saved before this happened, because it asked me to.

Edit: Maybe you can't trade between different games on the same console, even using GTS. If so I don't know how else to get Phantump at Level 1 to 10 for my Pokemon Y version.

I'm led to believe either my theory is wrong.

Or Nintendo/Gamefreak nerfed the GTS as they found a flaw in it, and didn't want to make it easy for people......or something technical, I guess.

Or I'm hoping the communication error glitch is just temporary and will be fixed in the near future.

Well whatever. Can't do anything in my Y version until I can get Phantump at a low level. Guess I'm stuck to wonder trading, and GTS waiting and not progressing in the game. Thanks Nintendo, for making my team choice, very difficult.

Guess I'm stuck playing my X version.

Edit: Seems Nintendo removed the option to search for Pokemon that are using the same 3DS friend code, as I can no longer find my Y version Serena character's Gible for Phantump.
