Playing Character

I hope the person is an actual person, not a squashed little dwarf. Also I hope the character turns and faces any angle not just 90 degrees.

Also customable clothes for your person you can buy from the shops along with clothes for Pokemon like the black glasses and white scarf but you see it on the Pokemon.

What else do you want from your playing character?

I think the new characters will probably look similiar to the ones in Ranger, but with different clothes. From the pictures I've seen they can walk diagonally, not just up, down, left and right.

The clothes would be an awesome idea, but I doubt it will happen. Otherwise they probably would have added that feature in the gc games.

if they do make it so you could change the clothes i would be gligar man!!! Anyway i would like it so the characters actualy talk so you can hear it instead of having to read it.

I bet you any money if it does happen, they'll have some sort of a Starter Pokemon one + a Pikachu 'costume'. That'll look quite weird, anyhow. ;

I think changing outfit in not enough =) I'd like to be able to influence chatacter's appearance & at the beginning of the game, just like in Sims =) If there are Urbz & The Sims 2 on Nintendo DS, I think there won't be any problems with adding this feature to D/P.

It would be nice to buy clothes and stuff. But it would be cool if your character makes face expressions insted of ' ' He doesn't even have a mouth or nose!!!

I doubt you'll be able to change clothes, or add anything like that. I'll probably look Ranger style person (can't see if they have noses and mouths). I'd rather not have the ablility to change clothes, I'd rather the data be spent on better graphics, pokemon, and storyline.

Yeah that would be cool but wasn't it only Pikachu that followed you? And changing your clothes would be cool,I guess.

The clothes idea is cool, but I'd like it if you could go into shops and buy stuff for the character and stuff. I think that's a cool idea. Sorry if I'm not really explaining myself well, I'm not too great at that.

If I had to buy food and new clothe's for my character, I might just shoot myself. Say your in a cave. Your character get's thirsty? They would have to go hungry.

It's a bad idea to make it more realistic IMO. Don't try to fix what's not broken.

I didn't mean that you get hungry or something just buy food that makes you faster or something (dunno) & I said 'bout food it was just an idea that I was asking mrmime... 'bout his idea .... anyway a hand watch for the charecter would be useful

^I know that but say someone brought up the idea of going hungry. too hard.

But an energy drink that you could use to run faster would be perfect earlier in the game and would be useful in cave's defiantley. It would also help for hatching egg's. Nice idea Metal power.

I Totally Agree with that...What Makes a pokemon game exciting,at leats for me,is the graphics....it is good the way it is....We dont need better graphics...maybe the change in expressions like somebody said or clothes.Sometimes i wonder while playing Emerald.Don't your character ever gest tired after running like crazy or using the bike like Lans Armstrong?I'm mean common...
And No Diagonal cursors...Up,Down,left,Right is good the way it is....

This idea hwas been brought up several times, and in one such thread I wrote the major problem that I'd forsee. Say D/P goes online? Say the manga/anime follow the plot of D/P. For them to do that, they'll need to establish a character design for the main hero of the story. If that happens, you'll have hundreds of people designing themselves after the main hero of the manga/anime, thus defeating the purpose. It's true that you don't HAVE to model your character after anything besides your own imagination, but imagine how obnoxious it will be going online and finding 20 different trainers that all look the same?
