I know there are members here that play pokemon without having traded any or linked. It's very unfortunate because their teams have limitations...and the loneliness of having in-game pokemon only in a cardtridge. Well, I'm one of them. If you're one of us, how do you feel having not traded or linked. "I know its not good..."lolz.

I really don't care. I don't play the games to finish the pokedex, that isn't fun. I play video games to have fun and trying to complete the pokedex is waay to boring.

no it isnt. completing the pokedex is one of the most fun things to do in a pokemon game. especially getting the hard to get but cool pokemon (like milotic and kingdra) is fun to do.

But this is my oppinion

I can't trade with my friends now because none of my friends have the English version game or a GBA link cable. I can still build a strong team without trading. There are many good wild pokemon to catch and train. I can get Starmie,Flygon,Manectric without trading.
And I don't care about the Pokedex.

without trading its impossible to complete the pokedex, so it pretty much takes all the fun away. Good thing D/P is online.

I'm able to trade between Emerald and Firered. I'm glad that I can trade, because you have much more possibilities, like other pokemon(Jotho/Kanto pokes to Emerald), TM trading and a place to trade your ev trained/favorite pokemon to if you plan to restart a game. Unfortunately I cant complete the pokedex, because I havent got a link cable for trading pokemon from Ruby/Sapphire......

how can you trade from FRLG to Emerald but not emerald to RS?
Anyway, I have a link cable, and I have to use my Gameboy Player to trade.
In emerald I completed the pokedex by trading a lot.

I only have two wireless adaptors and no link cable. A trade with R/S is only possible with a link cable..

I could play the game without trading but it wouldn't be as fun. Using your best FR and LG pokemon in the Battle Frontier is awesome. I like trying to complete the pokedex. On the Hoenn dex I'm at Seen 196 ande Own 189

Well I don't have anyone to trade with, since I don't know anyone that likes Pokemon. However, I can trade between my Pokemon XD game and my GBA games, since I recently got a link cable that can link the Gamecube to the GBA. But in order to do that, I have to beat the Elite Four, which I haven't done in any of my games yet.

But even so, I still enjoy playing the game, regardless if I can trade or not. As far as completing the Pokedex goes, I just catch all of those that are available at the time and get the ones that aren't available after I beat the Elite Four.

I've got a cousin to trade to, but I only see him once a year so we trade as many Pokémon as we can. Other than that, I can trade between my Ruby and Fire Red versions through Colosseum and XD.

Without my 200+ trades I'd would be almost nothing.
I have a 382 pokedex, 21 lv. 100s (only 6 are from the orignial game), 1 shiny that I wouldn't have gotten if I couldn't trade, and I wouldn't have a gold trainer card.

I feel bad for anyone who can't trade and the game would be pretty bad if you couldn't. I also feel bad for anyone who doesn't know anyone else with pokemon. At my old school there was like 10 people who had it...so fun killing them in battles...and using their bases to train my poke'mon...
They also helped me complete my pokedex (almost).

I have all five GBA games and a link cable, so I can trade for almost all the pokemon.

Though on my three older games, (Yellow, gold, crystal) I don't have a link cable that works for those games, meaning I can't trade... it really gets annoying as it limits what I can do in those games.

At one point I lost my GBA link cable and couldn't trade at all, that was really annoying...

So yeah, I know what it's like not being able to trade... It really does get annoying and limits your possibilities on an ingame team.
