*Never use items that only boost the power of one type. That means don’t use Charcoal, Mystic Water, Miracle Seed, Magnet, Sharp Beak, Silk Scarf, Blackbelt, Dragon Fang, Soft Sand, Metal Coat, Silver Powder, Hard Rock, Blackglasses, Poison Barb, Spell Tag, Twistedspoon, or Nevermeltice. They virtually are useless since the power boost is only 10% and that won’t help at all.

Don't use more than one damaging attack of the same type on one Pokemon.

PS: Leech Seed on Ludicolo is better imo.

More on Staller Ludicolo. Rain Dance Ludi will find Giga Drain useful for all the numerous Water types in-game.
