What is Koga's daughter's name?

Who was the first to hatch a Pokemon egg?

When did Bill implement Lanette's PC features?

What is Professor Oak's radio show called?

Discuss...

Janine, as seen in GSC. Though her name is Charine in FR/LG. O__o

And yes. She's somewhere in Fuchsia City after you beat the Elite Four.

Those are unexplainable. But as gameplay elements, they really can't keep consistency with storylines in previous episodes of the Games...

Revealed in GSC as well. I think it was "Oak Pokémon Talk" or something of the sort...

Bah, mistranslations and technical limitations! We know NoA sucks!

Also, why is it that your PC can handle the presence of G/S/C Pokémon? In G/S/C, Bill tells you that the PC system can't handle them, thus why the Time Capsule needs to block them.

Yes, it was called "Prof. Oak's Pokémon Talk" in G/S/C, but in FR/LG, an aide says his show will be called "Prof. Oak's Pokémon Seminar"

who would want to waste their time trying to find out these?

I don't care...
Maybe Koga has more than one daughter?

I think 'Professor Oak's Pokemon Seminar' sounds better.
Koga's daughter is Jasmine. back in G/S/C.

Koga can have more than one child, although that egg and PC thing does bug me. It would've been cool to see a prettied-up RBY/GSC PC.

Man this is the worst thread ever.
I heard that.

The Charine/Janine thing is a plothole, but it can be explained away by saying that Koga had two daughters... except that Koga was training Charine, yet Janine became Leader three years later. Most likely a mistranslation, which brings up the question: What is the Japanese name of Charine, and what is the Japanese name of Janine? If they're the same, one is definitely more right than the other (seeing as in Japanese, the two names would share only one letter).

Likewise, "Professor Oak's Pokemon Talk" is the name of Oak's radio show, but in FR/LG it was translated as "Professor Oak's Pokemon Seminar". It would be nice if the localizers had played previous Pokemon games to understand all the references. This can be written off as a mistranslation.

According to G/S/C, nobody had ever seen a Pokemon egg hatch before -- Professor Elm says as much multiple times. Yet in FR/LG, once Red reaches the Islands, it turns out that he has access to eggs and a breeding center. This is a plothole.

And finally, Bill's PC is also a plothole -- specifically, the fact that in FR/LG, the PC has room for 30 in each box, plus wallpapers and the like. These could be thought of as mere gameplay differences, except for one unfortunate problem: the letter on Lanette's table in Ru/Sa, which is from Bill. It states that Bill is very happy that Lanette is working hard on PC features, and that her PC's features are more convenient than his. Due to the fact that there is no Time Capsule of any sort in the Advanced Gen, the events of Ru/Sa/Em and FR/LG must take place at the same time; thus, a HUGE plothole occurs.

Again, I will say "Discuss."

I've noticed all of these before. The Janine/Charine and Talk/Seminar are probably mistranslations. This kind of sloppiness in localization is inexcusable, as it generates these kinds of plotholes, destroying an otherwise clever plot.

As for the PC system, we could consider the possibility that Lanette's improvements are present in the GB/GBC games, but the Game Boy, itself, is incapable of representing them. It's all relative.
