Ditto turned to be a really weaker Pokemon in PMD. It's only move : Transform, does not copy moves anymore, only has 1PP, and wears off when you enter the next floor. Also, it's stats are very low. When I recruited a level 25 Ditto in Frosty Forest, all its stats(besides HP) was at 17.
From other Pokemon games, Ditto couldn't learn anything else, but Transform. But in PMD there are Wide Slash and Vacuum-Cut. All Pokemon can learn those moves...even Ditto.
Pros of Vacuum-Cut
Attacks the whole room.
Cons of Vacuum-Cut
Has a set damage of 35.
In other words, the move is pretty useless.
Pros of Wide Slash
Does not have a set damage.
Attacks the square in front of you, the squares diagonally in front of you
Cons of Wide Slash
I dunno.
It's the only best move Ditto can learn.
To get these moves, you need to have access to Far-Off Sea and carry two keys with you. One of the moves is on Floor 50 and the other is on 72. There's no need to bring an Escape Orb, since the dungeon is 75 floors long and once you get the TM on floor 72, theres a short way to go.
Ditto may be able to learn these moves, but its stats are weak. I can only say this : Feed it lots of Proteins, Brown Gummis, Gray Gummis, or any other to raise attack. You may raise its defenses too(which I recommend), but still focus on the physical attack stat. Each Gummi raises 1 stat point(depending on gummi) and each stat booster thingy(ex: Protein) raises 3 stat points.
My Ditto is level 37 right now and it's pretty much weak. All of it's stats are less than 35(of course not including HP). Ditto starts out with low HP, but the growth of it ranges from 3-5 +HP per level. But with it's other stats, it slowed down from 2 each for every level to 1 stat point to each for every level while occassionally missing a stat point or two. I'm trying to boost my Ditto's stats and also trying to get it to L100.
