Rainbow rocket sounds awesome and would would work great with this series. However, the writers would never devote themselves to such a long arc. I'd be satisfied with mini arc in a few regions.

Too bad Janine, Drayden, Marlon and Cheren weren't in the WCS Great Class...
I want to see RR as well, but I doubt it'll happen... Mt. Silver, AZ, Delta, Battle Subway and Battle Maison and IoA/CT arcs are more probable...

I really hope Infernape rejoins ashs team. That would be freaking awesome. Besides, it’d provide a fire type for him. What do you all think are the odds of him coming back for good?

Infernape could be used for a PWC match, sure.
But living in Sakuragi park? No, if only because we barely get Ash's newest Pokemon as is, even if he has Infernape, its not going to change much, like what an appearance every 10 episodes?

Hello everyone new to the discussions here although I've been reading all of them for a while now but in terms of speculating about Infernape and just his older more popular mons in general I see them as one off battles against a big foe (such as moltres) as they would probably still want most of their focus on ash's new mons because Arceus knows they all need the focus, especially dragonite (definitely no bias there
). As for Ash's first stage mons or less popular ones I see as just cameos in the oak corral episode unfortunately.

It looks like Absol might be caught. Although given it’s positioning it’s not really clear who is going to be the one to get it.
Also a Alolan Ninetales is on there and to that I’d “Snowy is that you?” lol XD

If infernape does rejoin Ash I can't help but feel bad for Torterra continuing to catch L's to this day by being left out from the sinnoh pandering

maybe to some this might be hoping to much, but when the time comes for Mohn to be found I really want Ash and Goh to get involved because that is one plot I wish had gotten resolved in the SM anime.
edit: also on the side if Infernape is coming back on a more consistant basis...then I think Ash should forgo Kubfu.
three fighting types in consistent rotation I can handle...4 is overkill.
