Earth and Air types do sound cooler than ground and flying types. Grass could be renamed to plant type.
What bothers me is we've had 8 gens and not a single Pokemon based on a peacock.

likewise the poison type should be changed to the chemical type.

Nope, Togedemaru is a Ryukyu Spiny Rat, a Hedgehog or a New World Porcupine.
