What do we think about Ash having two separate teams this time around? One for PWC and one for Galar gyms. His new, unevolved Galar Pokemon could be used for battling a gym leader's first, second, or even their third Pokemon that DON'T dynamax, but his PWC Pokemon can be used for the first several gyms for dynamaxing. As his Galar Pokemon get stronger, they can be used for dynamaxing against a gym leader's final Pokemon for the last couple of gyms.

Also, here's a prediction: All, if not most, of Ash's new Galar Pokemon will be ones that can Gigantimax in order to showcase them in the anime. And of course, perhaps the ones he'll get won't were the ones showcased already, such as Drednaw and Duraludon. So perhaps his team will look like Centiskorch, Toxtricity (yellow), Appletun, Corviknight, and perhaps something different like Dragapult or Cramorant.

And not too mention, whose to say that they can’t sneak a capture in this arc. People don’t expect him to catch anything just like they didn’t expect Dragonite and Galarian Farfetch’d. He could end up catching a wild Pokémon that Dynamaxed and is going up against Ash and Leon. It could even be a Pokémon that is in merchandise.

Especially if it's Centiskorch. I want Ash to get that and finally have a pure Gen 8 mon. It would at least make up for Volcarona's treatment back in BW by allowing a Bug/Fire mon to be awesome.

Ash's goal doesn't revolve around gyms this time, sure he can still fight the leaders though.

Even so I don't see the need for Multiple teams.

There's a part of me wondering if Suicune might be involved in Chloe's backstory as to why she dislikes pokemon, Gou did say something happened in the past, and I would assume a pokemon would've been involved to make her come to dislike them, as she did seem to like them before hand

well considering it has a split evo I don't think i'd mind if they both got a Kubfu.

but which evo would go to who is the question?

I honestly wouldn't be shocked if Koharu/Chloe gets Kubfu/Urshifu. It continues the trend. Yes I know I've been beating the drum of trend breakers recently but that's just my thinking here.

Dawn had Mammoswine
Iris had Dragonite/Excadrill
Serena should've had Pangoro
Mallow/Lillie/Lana all had their respective Pokemon but you can make the argument of Lillie's late affiliation with Magearna.

Cause he likes to fight :>
Give him more like Kommo-o, Urshifu, Blaziken, and Galarian Zapdos to add with his eventual Lucario and Sirfetch’d and his reserve fighters and he’ll be unstoppable, make him the new Mustard even :D

Don't know how I'd feel about a potential Kubfu on Ash's team due to having a Galar Fighting Type already but would probably come around as Urishifu is a cool Pokémon. I just hope he gets more Galar Pokémon overall

I think that Ash will also catch some Rock-types and have a similar relationship with Gordie as he does with Bea.

Here's my question at the moment about Galar's gym leaders. I know the separate gym leaders in the region. Why not be the first rotating gym leaders like in the anime. Misty left her sisters took over for her for reference. So I don't understand why he's limited to one specific series of gym leaders.

Or even when the Elite 4 member Agatha took temporary ownership of Viridian City's gym.
