People put way too much emphasis on Pokédex Entrees.
The only Pokémon in the series thus far that have really used Pokedex entrees is Flygon and the Sobble/Inteleon
And even then it's not 100% accurate in the latter's case. No where does it say in any of Inteleon's entrees that it retains the Invisibility or is immune to Sobble's Tears

I assume Inteleon's invisibility comes from its reference sheet, but until Game Freak actually releases those to the public like last Gen, we'll never know.

It's because most boys are conditioned (usually by their fathers) to hate everything feminine. It's more acceptable for girls to like boy stuff than it is for boys to like girls stuff. There's an entire trope about this problem called "Girl Show Ghetto". It would increase merch sales among girls, but that would come at the cost of decreased merch sales among boys.

Not something that's overly pink, cutesy, and girly. Ash also never caught a Pokemon that is only capable of being female.

You gotta be a special kind thick in the head if you actually think giving ash a feminine pokemon would suddenly make every boy go and burn everything related to the anime. Even kids aren’t that dumb. Power rangers didn’t see no toy sales because a pink ranger exist.
Having one feminine pokemon is not the same having ash switch to focus on fairy types and start doing showcases. At worst, and this is being very generous, boys just wouldn’t care about said feminine pokemon and just won’t buy merch of that particular pokemon. It doesn’t suddenly sour everything else.

I hate responding to Riley’s posts but people have to realize that kids don’t care about if something is feminine or masculine; if it’s cool, they’ll like it. There are just as many boys who love the Powerpuff Girls as there are girls who like the TMNT. Bias over what gender a product is comes from outside sources like parents, older siblings, and friends.

No it wouldn’t, Gardevoir is a very popular Pokémon and I am sure a lot of boys that play the games probably have one on the their team because otherwise it wouldn’t be as popular. Ash getting a Pokémon like Gardevoir would increase more interest in the show, just like hopefully Chloe gets something that isn’t cute and that would increase interest as well.

Bruh Journeys viewership is already primarily Female
Between the Ash/Gou Fujo pandering, Gou's Design in General, Leon and Raihan Fan-service, Koharu and her Girly Adventures, and Sobble in general
I'd say Journeys is practically aiming for a Larger Female Audience.
Plus even if Ash DOES get a Girly Pokémon, it's not even like we'll get to see very often looking at how the rest of Ash's Team is being treated this far
