Honestly it wouldnt have been an issue. League in SM was brought in much later. They could have just made him do island trials without relation to the league as it was.

Unless it's for that old Mega Evolution plot from the XY games where she's the one that hands you ME in the first place where in this case Ash finally obtains the Mega Evolution he was shafted of in the XY saga, I'd rather not see her again.

HMmm.... I think they might encounter each other later on to face off at the championships again....would make sense I think, though at the same time at the end of episode 25 they made no allusion to meeting again so not sure, but It would make sense if they encountered each other again. There’s still plenty of other characters that haven’t debuted yet so I think we will see those first before going back to the ones already appeared.

I don't think she'll become the main character even with Eevee. After all, this series was announced from the very beginning for only two heroes, Satoshi and Gou. Of course, he can still go with them, but only for the same reasons he has been doing so far.

Except Sophocles, Kiawe, Mallow, and Lana all focus on a type, and they didn’t go down the route of wanting to be a Gym Leader.
