• Hi all
Just a notice, we recently discovered that someone got into a moderator account and started hard deleting a load of key and legacy threads...around 150 threads have been lost dating back to 2007 and some weeks ago so we can't roll the forums back.
Luckily no personal data could be accessed by this moderator, and we've altered the permissions so hard deleting isn't possible in the future
Sorry for any inconvenience with this and sorry for any lost posts.

Come to think of it, this is the first time we see a Scyther evolving in the anime, because most Scizors we've seen were already evolved while the one in the episode where it was nicknamed "Red Lightning" evolved offscreen.

If that Haxorus toy means Iris' Axew is evolving then I feel like this season could evolve lots of Pokemon that didn't evolve before for some reason, the Sinnoh episode proved they can just copypaste old mon's personalities into some new mons of the same species.

The ones I think could evolve:

Axew: It was Iris' shouldermon and it was kinda popular but it's popularity has faded(don't get featured in merch, etc) and this season s trying to promote the games hard and Iris has Haxorus in the games so I can see it evolving.
Oshawott: Same with Axew, it was popular when BW was airing but it quickly got forgotten and there is no much reason for it to not evolve.
Any Ash's Unova Pokemon, really.
Buizel: It is more popular than Floatzel but it's popularity is still kinda niche(Buizel is popular with furries), it wouldn't change much but still.
Chespin: I feel like either Clemont's or Manon's could evolve while the other doesn't, I don't see Manon or any anime oc showing up again so Clemont's. The whole line is not that popular so there is no much difference if it evolves.
Pancham: If they want to give some changes to Serena's team, Pancham evolving is the safest one.
Munchlax: May has lots of Pokemon so idk if she will get more, Munchlax evolving is the safest change her team can get.
Shore: Koharu already has Eevee, there is no need to NOT evolve it and I don't see Lana getting another Pokemon.
Snowy: Same as Shore, I don't see Lilllie getting another Pokemon and both Vulpix and A-Ninetales are popular.
Bunneary: Could be Dawn's mega.

Ones I don't:
Piplup: Not only had a whole episode about not wanting to evolve but Piplup is still very very popular and still gets merch, to me is like Ash's Pikachu evolving. No way Pipluo is evolving.
Rowlet: Same as Piplup, still very popular with tons of merch.
Gible: More because it would be too much trouble to evolve it twice and Garchomp is popular and would require too much attention.
Braixen: Still more popular than Delphox and no reason to evolve if they can evolve Pancham.
Bunnelby: Diggersby is ugly af.
Squirtle and Bulbasaur: NO.

I was even wondering if Goh would give his Pokemon to Ash?

For example - his Scizor loves fight combat training very much, if one day he asks Goh to participate in the PWC and he decides he doesn't have time because he is researching cases and collecting pokemon collections, so it is possible that he will give his to Ash, so that Scizor will have fun fighting.

I doubt the evolution of these Pokémon:
1) I don't think Serena will come back. It would then be quite awkward for that kiss at the end

2) May probably won't come back either, since Seiyū's change is not very acceptable in Japan

3) It would be nice to see Lopunny at Dawn, but until the creators bring up the topic of the competitions in "Journeys", I don't see a chance for our coordinator to come back.

I think Allister will appear in the anime despite Bea's presence. I imagine one of these options
1) Allister replaces Bea at the Gym. (rather, someone must guard the room, since the fighting Pokémon trainer travels the world).
2) It may be that while Satoshi will be fighting the leaders of the "Sword" version, Gou will be fighting the leaders of the "Shield" version
3) They can make an arc where Allister will be indispensable
option #3 is just
we need this
or a spin-off series about him

I was wondering why Iris wasn't wearing a new outfit on her return. And I figured it might be because she has become the new leader of the dragon Gym in Opelucid City.
What do you think about it?

Personally want all of them to evolve but just more focus on white.

Go with all color Florges would be neat, though that would require 5 shiny stones
I wasn't sure if it was Flabebe or Flabebe's. But yes I hope we see them all evolve fully.
Yes, but main difference is this: They waited 20+ episodes to give Galarfetch'd its focus episode. Considering it still hasn't evolved and Dracovish needs focus as well, this means they need to juggle three focus Pokemon at the same time (Which this series won't do, since the PWC is an afterthought rather than the main course), one of which is a base stage of a three stage line (And a starter even) which means that Galarfetch'd and Dracovish get even less focus. It just seems more likely at this point that Goh is getting Grookey.
It would be nice to see all 3 starters together, and maybe Rookidee as well, For white and black knight parallels between Ash and Goh.

They could draw parallels to Ash's Kanto, Johto and Unova squads, given that the starters and early route birds are staples for rookie trainers.

Goh also has a Bunnelby, which could lead to another Wurmple - Tailow situation with Corviknight.

It would add another regular to the team
With Scizor, Go finally has his first Steel type, now I wonder what other Steel types he'll catch? The other questions are: when will he catch a second Dark type? When will he catch a third Fire type and Dragon type?
Ponyta, Applin, Nickit, Burmy/Wormadam, Rookidee.
The only thing hes lacking is a mythical and a female only mon
Have we seen Carbink mutate on screen?

He also lacks a pseudo and UB.

Er I don't think we can rule out Gible since it's not like they care much about giving attention lmao.
