I thought Raihan was going to be the Electric Gym Leader before release since “Rai” means thunder (Raichu, Raikou) and would’ve had Boltund as an ace since it’s on nearly everything associated with the Gym Challenge such as the clothes and posters.

No, gen 9 doesn’t have to look like BDSP in order to come out in 2023.

I mean heck from 2016-2019 we got main series games for 4 years in a row starting with Sun and Moon to Sword and Shield and that didn’t translate to Sword and Shield having to suddenly look like Let’s Go.

Well, it's just that Legends Arceus and possible DLC is taking up a lot of resources and manpower. If Gen 9 comes in 2023 either they have to outsource it or they have to make compromises.

Not really, as it could easily be the case that the reason they chose to outsource BDSP was to focus on Pokémon Legends Arceus(+possible DLC for it) and gen 9.

And to try to say that they don’t have enough resources to do gen 9 and have it release in 2023 without outsourcing it or compromises is jumping to conclusions based on information that you don’t actually have access to.

Arceus is being released early next year, you're kidding yourself if you don't think they have something to work on that'll come out at least a year and a half afterwards.

Not that it matters but what if ash saves grookey from tr and it joins him remember when some thought ash get sobble and got farfetchd but the reverse happened never know
