Journeys should have showcased the new gen Pokemon when SWSH released. Now there's hardly any excitement left for the gen 8 Pokemon.

That's not how it works, Absol is able to predict natural disasters such as eruptions, earthquakes, tsunamis, hurricanes, floods caused by storm and meteor about to collide the planet, Ash commiting disasters such as being possesed by a vengeful soul or making a Pallosand angry by attaching a Rotom dex in place of its shovel are not considered natural disasters, they're man-made disasters.
