Mythical-Moonlight

I just ran, I ran all Night and Day ~
I think Drizzile is going to evolve in a few weeks.

BTW has anybody heard news about M24? The next Pokemon movie after Secrets of the Jungle? Usually, the title and its event legendary star would have been revealed months ago, but we haven't heard anything I don't think.
Try a few months

And I don't think we're gonna get M24 this year

I don't think it is disrespectful to call someone by a tile they may have given by birth, profession or whatever but if they specifically request or ask you not to call you by a certain title, it should then be deemed disrespectful.

After yesterday's episode, I think Tsurgi is my favourite characther from this current series. I hope they expand on him and the other blue haired girl whose name I cannot spell.

I wonder, Could this Project Mew thing be a farce? Like the Moment Asahi says "Leave it to us"... I have sort of a bad feeling. Tsurugi has an Urshifu which means he probably has knowledge about Isle of the Armor and Mustard. Could it be possible that Gou/Gary are being used? Could this tie-up with Rose's Inevitable Return?
I was reading a forum over bulbapedia about lgbt representation. I dont understand, people expect lesbians from anime for 10 yr old with 10 yr characters. That is scary tbh.
90% of Shounens barely even touch on LGBT+ Themes and they expect Pokemon too. And Pokemon isn't even a Shounen, it's a Kodomo or at least certainly has opted for that direction ever since SM. Meaning its a show which is watched mostly by 5-10 Year Olds. 20 or 30 Year Olds on a Forum commenting are not the opted target. If you want Lesbian/Gay Romance in your Anime, then hell there are hundreds and hundreds of Anime dedicated to that. Go and watch that instead of complaining about this. These are the same sort of people who probably believe Japan is some sort of Conservative Hellhole when it is literally one of the least Hostile & Most Progressive Places for LGBT+ People in Asia (along with Taiwan) which is a very good thing.

I don't think people on that Forum watch other Anime. I recently saw a thread when they were complaining about Sexism in the Pokemon Anime. And (obviously) viewing a Foreign Media in probably the most Americentric way possible and complaining about the smallest things. These people probably would not even survive an Episode of a Standard Shounen Anime which would certainly offend them all the way to the smallest denominator possible because of their (what is called stereotype here) standard portrayal of female characters.

I just need Goh to start doing the “understanding” part of his justification for catching all these Pokémon. He barely uses most of them, some haven’t even been seen aside from their capture frames, and like I said before, a lot of them are very inexperienced. Most of them don’t even have personalities lol, I need Goh to catch Pokémon and then spend time with it, at least for the more focused ones. I feel like the most developed one of Goh’s Pokémon is Dewgong

Jesus Christ what's wrong with you people. It isn't politics to hope for some representation of their own. It's a problem if they obsess over it and name call over it but just expressing a wish for representation is totally normal. That isn't "politics". And yes, lesbians can exist lol in a kids show. Don't straight couples already exist in the anime? Imagine having a problem with people wanting some representation, how sad can you be?
You misunderstood my Post.

I say that go at least has the built-in excuse that he has a whole bunch of Pokemon .
Ash on the other hand has no excuse because he only has six of them and they barely show up half of the time unless there's a World Tournament match.
Gengar especially because it barely does anything outside of spooking people

We are so back Zygardebros
Nah, twitter is a hellhole. Serebii is fun to be around.
These fourms have a lot of issues but at least most people here are decent and fun to discuss with. Twitter’s anipoke community is awful and makes me at least thankful that the majority of people on here have basic human decency even with all the repetitive “controversy”.

Anyway, let’s change the topic to get back to course. What do you guys expect to be the next major step for Ash, Go, and Chloe’s characters?

Who says it is disrespectful? How is calling some1 a chef is disrespectful? On the contrary, chef is a title which is not easy to get. So calling some1 that likes to cook a chef is more than respecting
The issue was more that you said Kitchen Chef Girl instead of Mallow's name. Sometimes people call characters by other names, like their real name, to show endearment but typically people call characters by nicknames to passive aggressively show disdain for the character. For instance some people may call Tracy either, "Waste of potential" or "Art boy" but both mean the same thing to them, that, "I hate this character so much I'm just going to call them by their gimmick/defining trait and not their name." Hence why most people won't use their own personal nicknames for characters unless it's clearly a joke which is hard to tell over text.

Anyways, let's move on to talking about the actual characters.

Yeah and a big part of that is because JN is the Goh show. Most of the time writers are having Ash drop everything, or do a bunch of unsatisfying offscreen to help with Goh's goal.

Chloe will probably remain out of focus until this project mew thing is done. Ash will do random stuff and Goh will compete with Gary in the project.

It’s because Mew contains the genes/is the ancestor of all Pokémon(obviously there are some exceptions).

So basically the idea is that if Goh catches and understand all the other Pokémon it will help him to catch in understand Mew.
Goh does no actual research on the pokemon he catches. I have never seen him bring out a conclusion from his captures towards behaviour or habits of Mew.

Might as well say he wants to splice all his Pokémon and create a mew

Obviously you can't develop Pokémon if you decide to give all the time to another Mary Sue character's every minute antics and one thousand and one pokeball chucking.

Any screen time issue that Ash and his pokemon face in JN is a direct consequence of Goh existing.

What Gen 8 Pokemon have actually been handled well so far?

Cinderace and Grookey are the only ones who come to mind.

Dracovish and Sirfetch'd are awesome but they don't show up often...

Inteleon was awesome in its debut but that's only one episode and his pre-evos have been handled like crap

Morpeko is one long running food joke that's overstayed it's welcome

Chewtle again, doesn't show up enough to form a real opinion on

Everything else? Either Cameos or still haven't debuted yet

Only Cinderace and i hope we get more of Sirfetch'd, Grookey has not done anything, we don't know any moves yet.

and what is wrong with Lucario?
As @Ignition said, personal preference. I'm simply sick of Lucario and giving one to Ash comes off as cheap fanservice
Agreed on everything especially on Lucario :p. I’d welcome Urshifu and Chesnaught if they somehow ever happened
Incineroar could come along too. Granted it's not a fighting type but looks like one.

And if Bruno can get away being a fighting type specialist despite using an Onix, so can Ash.

This show has like 4 very polarizing characters: Ash himself (specially in BW and SM), Iris, Serena and now Goh.

Come to think of it, when you factor SM Ash, we've been getting one of those with every series. So here's a new tradition for you all to obsess over

(also, just realized that the two polarizing Ash characterization came during regions based on America. Fun coincidence)

Not that Ash should be a Fighting-Type specialist

Tbh I’ve actually found Journeys ash to be the most boring iteration of him so far. He’s just a smiling goof who just says yes to everything.

Gym quest series ash still felt more determined and eager for his goal, while SM ash was an over the top butt monkey. Journeys ash feels so bland.

Almighty Zard

He has returned.

Agree to disagree then since I like Lucario. I want Ash's to pick up steel beam at some point.

Not that Ash should be a Fighting-Type specialist

the only way i'd be ok with another fighting type right now is if it was Kubfu or one of his reserves, I'm not personally keen on any of the other fighting types out there
