Right when Goh and Ash were getting into the ship, I think Goh said he caught it, but I'm not sure.

Goh does tell Koharu that he caught a Tyltalis (Altaria). So yes he did.

That's probably one good in last 3 series this one, XY and SM, ash is getting good reputationse. It should've happened from AG onwards but didn't happen.

Not sure about that, tho i do like to see world championship where everyone from gym leaders to trial captains to every E4 and champions past or present take part, this WPC looks hollow when most of E4 or few champions aren't present, not to mention most of galar gym leaders who are E4/champion tier aren't taking part as well, hopefully we could see ash's companions and rivals taking part as well which could happen in next series especially when ash is a champion, this way they could keep him in the anime.

Maybe Ash will get a Swablu and later will evolved into Altaria like Goh has somewhere in upcoming future season or episodes.

Dawn gets Espeon

May already has Glaceon.
Serena already has Sylveon.

So um... I'm kind of disappointed how Ash's Team has turned out. Maybe my expectations were too high, but i was hoping for an international team with one pokemon from each region. Instead its three Kanto, one Sinnoh, and two Galar.

Though I would have been okay with Pikachu + 5 Galar Pokemon. Disappointed, but okay with it. Since it is Galar's turn.

Maybe its just me but I'm getting tired of the Pikachu + 5 format that's been the standard since XY. I don't want Ash to get 20+ or anything crazy like that. Maybe a dozen. Granted that's still a lot but I was thinking we'd get four years since either Gen 8 or 9 has to be for Gen 10 to land on the 30th anniversary.

The point is there are so many fun and cool options introduced every generation that is sucks that Ash is limited to just 5 captures. Especially in a series that has us visiting all the regions. Yes some will be shafted but tbf someone always gets shafted.

I mean, i can see where you are coming from, but i think the smaller roster of new Pokemon is a factor to play for as well.. just like them shoving unneccesary Pokemon on Ash's team (Did he really need three flying and two Dragon types on his Kalos team for example).
