Cyndaquil evolving is still one of the most random things in the anime.

It’s one of Ash’s Pokémon I wish didn’t evolve, same with Turtwig.

If a Pokemon evolves it will be in the final conflict with Team Rocket, Team Rocket has caused so many evolutions it would be a crime not to fit one more into their high stakes final destruction

Personally I do want Typhlosion because it'd give Cyndaquil the most interesting pattern from OS right to the end, signifying beginning/middle/end

Pikachu has a G-max factor, so it cannot evolve.

But at the same time, Cap Pikachu can't get the G-Max factor in the games, even with the Max Soup.

So I think that G-max factor rule can comfortably be ignored

I just found out that Chloe's japanese voice actress is Kana Hanazawa, no wonder why people wanted Cilan to appear in Journeys, that could have been an Okabe and Mayuri reunion in a different anime.
