    Just a notice, we recently discovered that someone got into a moderator account and started hard deleting a load of key and legacy threads...around 150 threads have been lost dating back to 2007 and some weeks ago so we can't roll the forums back.
    Luckily no personal data could be accessed by this moderator, and we've altered the permissions so hard deleting isn't possible in the future

Well, now that were close to reaching the end of Ash's adventure as a main protagonist, I'm guessing there wont be any closure to some of mysteries within the story that was never revealed.

For example, the revelation of Ash's dad and grandfather. I would have been satisfied if the writers at least showed a picture of Ash's dad and granddad in a family portrait or album.

Who knows, maybe the writers will cleverly reveal the identity of Ash's dad in the new 2023 series, if it turns out he was sent to an alternate dimension and is on a quest to find his family but happens to run into the new protagonists.

He should have gotten clauncher, hattena, beartic, spearow, rattata and banette (because he's totally bonding with it too). And re-catch squirtle and lapras

But, this season is apparently about how he can bond with pokemon (his or the wild ones) and be friends without captures.

Garanted clauncher bonded with corphish, tho, but, it could have worked.

I really don't have a problem with the "bond with em all" approach

Ash befriending them all around the globe and letting them stay where they can achieve more has NEVER bothered me

You all got mad at Goh for using enslavement balls as friendship proof, but when Ash doesn't do that it's a problem?

Just where are people getting this idea of the new series taking place in an alternate universe. Did Gryphon start this supposed rumor as well?

From what I gathered from the 2023 series promotion and past interviews, this series seems to most likely take place in the same original story and will follow the adventures of two protagonist that will replace the previous Ash. We were never that this new series will be based on a original story within a different continuity. You cant replace someone (Ash) that doesn't exist within a separate universe.

That isn’t true, just look at Digimon and Yugioh they switch their protagonist every series and a lot of there series tend to be in different universes from each other.

So just because Riko/Liko and Roy are replacing Ash doesn’t automatically mean that there series has to be in the same universe as Ash.

Heck they could easily have the new series take place in a different universe or time then the series that Ash is in as there are Pokémon that can control time and space meaning it wouldn’t be that hard to bring Ash back for a future episode or two.

I want captures, the problem that I had with Goh is that some of his Pokémon that he caught should have been used more and been on his team like Cubone. He would catch some Pokémon without any effort and then not use them for a while. He basically just had three Pokémon with him for most of the time. And that’s what I found boring.

Mentioned this before in a previous post.

Maybe I'm reading too much into this, but is Roy implied to be a Hitch-hiker. Probably may explain how he got from Kanto all the way to Paldea. From looking at the most recent official profile artwork of Roy, shown in the image above, his thumbing gesture awkwardly gives subtle vibes to him being a drifter (hitch-hiker).

Ironically enough, it seems to be a common trend for anime to personify characters with sandals, and disarrayed loose-fitting attire to reminiscent the lifestyle of a vagabond/wanderer, for example Mugen of Samurai Champloo and his mysterious past. Though were told Roy hails from Kanto. Again, I may be reading too much into this.

As pretty much all Poketubers of the anime, there are some acceptable but all of them are are click baiters.

And someone should tell Raf that the word "Might" can mean that it could happen or maybe not. It does not confirm anything.


Now go back to blocking people who does not share your shame opinion.
