And i think semifinal and final might have a 6 vs 6 battle, not 3 vs 3. Just like same in Kalos League.

Unlikely. You forgot the part where Cynthia and Lucario go through Bond Phenomenon and become Cynthia-Lucario with a XYZ inspired remix of her theme playing.

Maybe the writers took an example from Game Freak and started giving love only to gen 1-5 Pokemon, and the rest can go eat a potato

Gengar, Dragonite and Dracovish can all counter Kommo-o, whereas Gastrodon is an absolute tank, and Ash has no Grass Pokémon - as a matter of fact, not even a Grass type attack - and he historically always struggled against tanky opponents.

Kommo-o has to be the pseudo with the smallest role.
Dragapult barely appeared but at least Leon has it and will likely use it

Bullet Punch, the same way Lucario used against Paul's Gyarados. Close Combat doesn't make any sense since Togekiss is a flying and fairy pokémon, although i would prefer that Lucario learned Meteor Smash instead.

Ideally, yes. Actually, I’d prefer if dragonite was the one to decide the battle. I like lucario, really, but I feel dragonite kinda deserves a good win.

Same.. Dragonite is the Talonflame of Journeys. Initially the beast of the group, but then gets overshadowed because of the shillmon with the gimmick.
