This is new 1: The setting is the Alola region!
The Alola region consists of islands with warm weather. It is constantly showered with the bright light of the sun.
*Everything you can see is really unusual! Ash is super excited about it all as well!

This is new 2: The Pokémon School and his friends there
Ash enters a school! Here he learns all kinds of things out in nature, together with Pokémon!

This is new 3: Lots of new Pokémon!
No matter where he goes, there are Pokémon he's never seen before all over the place! Can Ash's new companions be found somewhere around here too!?
*Bewear: It may look cute, but it has immense power and is really dangerous!
*Tapu Koko: A special Pokémon known as an island guardian deity

Ash learns to use Z-moves, which lets one combine their powers with those of Pokémon and unleash it!? He's able to successfully use them together with Pikachu!

In November, the Pokémon anime undergoes a renewal! What kind of adventure will it turn into next!?

The new adventure is filled with comedy!!
Being in a new place for the first time makes Ash tense up... or not. There's no time for that when a slapstick adventure opens up before him!

The setting is a Pokémon School!!
Ash enrolls in a school! Here he'll learn and have fun together with Pokémon: No matter what the coursework is, it's sure to be enjoyable!

In the new anime series Pocket Monsters Sun & Moon, Satoshi levels up at a Pokémon school!!

In the location of the new adventure, the Alola region, Satoshi enters a school! This is a super power-up for him as a Pokémon Trainer!!

Level up 1: He'll study Pokémon together with his friends!
In the school, he'll be working with his classmates! He'll compete with his friends and level up!!
Kaki: A boy who has a Z-ring and specializes in battling.
(They'll compete in Kentauros Racing)
Mao: An energetic girl whose specialty is cooking!
Suiren: Her specialty is fishing, and she likes Water type Pokemon.
Māmane: He loves Electric type Pokémon.
Lilie: A girl that can't touch Pokémon.

Level up 2: Satoshi aims to master Z-moves!
Z-moves are super awesome attacks spoken of in the Alola region. If Satoshi masters using them, he'll be the greatest there is!
(Satoshi obtains a Z-ring from Kapu-Kokeko!?)
The island's guardian deity grants Satoshi a Z-Ring!?
(Satoshi: "Let's go all out!")
Z-moves require hard training to learn. Will Satoshi be able to use them!?

I can totally see Ash being a rookie again..
And the best part of the anime was the traveling companions and it seems like the writers decided to throw it out of the window?? It's just a re-boot which is worse than BW's one.
Also, like you said, XY's (and especially XYZ's ) Ash was so mature and so is the plot. So now we have to go from THIS kind of Ash to a complete childish one. I understand that Ash is indeed a child. but the show has been going for 20 years now and if changes r needed to be made then it need to go to the opposite side- Making it a more mature show. Seriously, I feel like they should have brought a new character instead of Ash, they r just abusing him by making him look so silly after all he's done during the past series lol. Such a disappointment.
I just cant look at Ash's face. It's an embarrassment

One good thing is that there will be tons of recurring characters appearing often, meaning there is bound to be at least one that I enjoy watching.

I do hope they don't go all-out on this school life and instead incorporate adventure aspects as well.

Repeating what I've said on last thread with a few tweaks:

Maybe I'll change my mind with previews or actually watching it, but as for a first impression:

This sucks. So much.

I could live without Alolan form Serena because it's what I've been expecting for a while. But... all the rest. Really? Man, it'll be hard going from XY&Z straight to... this.

I can't believe I'm saying this but I should have never complained about the gym quests. I was happy and didn't know....

Lost all my hype. I'm willing to give it a shot but I'm feeling like I'll be dropping it.

Also, it's so blatantly clear they are trying to rip Yokai Watch off, it hurts. With so many similar shows to add elements from, they are copying that?

Man, Gen VII has been such a letdown for me. As for right now, nearly nothing aside the game's graphics and a bit of the mechanics had appealed me. Now even the anime is suffering.

The only good thing is that I'm confident people will stop hating BW after this thing lol

Also, considering this school setting, I'm really surprised they haven't showed Hau. He'd make perfect sense as rival/pseudo best friend.

Actually, even Serena and Clemont or Sawyer would make sense considering their roles (girl with a crush and nerds).
