    Just a notice, we recently discovered that someone got into a moderator account and started hard deleting a load of key and legacy threads...around 150 threads have been lost dating back to 2007 and some weeks ago so we can't roll the forums back.
    Luckily no personal data could be accessed by this moderator, and we've altered the permissions so hard deleting isn't possible in the future

  • Hi all. We had a couple of reports of people's signatures getting edited etc. in a bad way. You can rest assured this wasn't done by staff and nobody has compromised any of our databases.

    However, remember to keep your passwords secure. If you use similar passwords to elsewhere which has been accessed, people and even bots may be able to access your account.

    We always recommend using unique passwords, and two-factor authentication if you are able. Make sure you're as secure as possible

As far as I know, it's never been revealed if TR brings their old Pokemon to a new region until it actually happens. Fingers crossed, though, since I like Inkay and Gourgeist, and Wobbuffet's presence seems like a good sign. Even though Wobbuffet has reached near-Meowth status as a member of TR, it would just feel awkward for them to sacrifice their Kalos team to Giovanni without losing it too. Makes more sense for them all to go to Alola.

Also, YES, TRio BEWEAR HYPE! Dear Arceus, I hope it goes to James! It just fits him too well!

The only way I see the outrage being worst is if Ash makes it to the finals again, has the lead and his opponent secretly cheats to win. That or Ash's best pokemon get swept by a beginners starter. lol

I think everyone would be taking the anime reveal a lot better if it wasn't for the stupid goofy face they put on Ash. They have made posters in the past of him looking like he was having fun. But his just makes him look like he is just a goof ball.

And they put his face like that purposely because its the first advertisement of the saga and sets the tone for the series. Look at Ash's face on all the XY promotional material and how mature he looks in comparison.

This is going to be even worse than BW.

BW did better in the ratings than XY by a wide margin. It's overall series average was over 5.0, while XY's is over 3.0 (the same as BWS2DA!'s average), while XYZ specifically holds an over 2.0 average (worse than BWS2DA!). XY&Z very routinely gets around 2.0 and is often not even on the Top 10 Kids Animation weekly list. And ever since it started, Yokai Watch has been competing with the XY series, first often matching it in the ratings and nowadays kicking its butt even when it isn't as popular as it was in its earlier days.

So, looking at this, what do you think is the obvious conclusion the anime producers are going to come to? Do you think they're going to keep to XY's style because a number of people outside of the anime's target age group overseas would whine about it otherwise? Or fall back on the BW-style that worked out for them better AND put the anime more in line with the tone of its biggest competitor? I'm sorry, but these people are part of a business, and they need to make what they think are the smartest business decisions, and at this point, the right choice for them seems pretty clear.

Dude, the Sun/Moon anime will likely get lower ratings than XY did. Every saga does worse than the previous. If you think this set-up is going to "revive" the anime, you're kidding yourself.

They'll probably be a brief spike in ratings at the start of the saga like every series has, but then it'll decline. I wouldn't be surprised if this series ratings stay in the 2.0's for most of it.

Remember, how I actually LIKED Best Wishes Anime Ash when he was revealed because I felt like they were expanding on the animation, giving it more depth instead of Sun and Moon where they went diagonally backwards?

I have to grudgingly agree. Much as I feel XY/XYZ was a step up in the right direction, the writing is pretty clear on the wall.

So doesn't anyone find it weird that the trial captains of the northeastern island are all at school on the northwestern island?

Why aren't they doing their jobs? Are the people of northeastern island just screwed if they want to do trials?

What about the trial captains of Melemele and southeastern island?
